2ndesign is one of the hidden gems not many, or not enough people are talking about.ย They are definitely an up and coming brand which I can see blowing up in the near future, especially after trying out a couple of their products and already falling in love with a few.ย This first toner essence is no exception!ย Let me introduce to you 2ndesign :).
Who are 2ndesign?

They were actually established back in 2018 and launched their first three products (first cleansig oil, springy peel gel and first lip balm), all of which I have on hand and actually love all three products!ย They don’t follow trends much but hones in on keeping things simple yet effective.ย Their first lip balm and cleansing oil actually won first place in their category on Glowpick (which is a trusted Korean consumer review site).ย Then in 2019, they released 4 new products and have continued their journey ever since

How to use:
After washing your face, apply an appropriate amount to your face and pat the essence.ย Continue on with the rest of your skincare routine.
Product packaging:
I love the sleek contemporary look to the bottle.ย Their first toner clear has the same beautiful bottle but the product itself is clear so it is easy to tell even if you had both products.
This is just a simple twist-off lid in which you dispense through a stopper, which I call the glass bottle ketchup dispensing method.
Texture/ Finish + results/ effects:
The texture of this first toner essence is watery but you can definitely feel the hyaluronic acid.ย If you don’t know the texture of hyaluronic acid, it seems watery and a liquid of nothingness, but there is a slight stickiness that dries down to a comfortable hydrating barrier.ย I do find that I need to follow up a hyaluronic acid product with something a bit more emollient to seal in the hydration, at least with my dry skin.ย There are also tons of other amazing notable and familiar ingredients such as Panthenol, Butylene Glycol, and two types of hyaluronic acids which all help with moisture retention and hydration. There is Centella and Camilla flower extra to soothe the skin as well as licorice root extract to help with anti-inflammatory and green tea which is known for its high antioxidant and anti-aging properties.ย
The essence dries down without any greasy feeling and is super comfortable, especially through these hot summer days.ย I can definitely see myself including this product in my winter skincare routine.ย It is crazy hydrating and works even better than my beloved Naturie skin conditioner if I do say so myself.ย There is just a bit more thought-out formulation that will work with all skin types.

Overall thoughts:
This was one of the first products that wowed me from the brand and is definitely not the last product that has wowed me.ย I love the ingredients list from top to bottom and the effects that give my skin.ย It is simply hydrating and I can see any skin type loving this product.ย Overall I give this product a highly recommended thumbs up and you guys have to check out the rest of their line.ย They don’t pump out a ton of products which I respect and all products are very well thought out and the majority do not have fragrance or essential oils added in just because.
