We are back again with more color contact reviews.ย Why?ย Because I like to change colors like a chameleon and confuse any facial recognition systems out in the world LOL.ย Okay jokes aside, I recently reviewed Olens’ latest line called Scandi, which I love by the way.ย With the success of the release, they came out with two new shades to add to the line.ย So here we are, reviewing the new Aqua and light gray.ย Let’s go~

I wish I had a better system to showcase the contact lense without it being in the container.ย Guess my eyeball will just have to be the vessel for these babies.
They’ve also come out with a daily version for the Scandi grey, olive, and hazel.ย No news on if the light grey and aqua will have the daily version just yet.
Here are my natural eyes which is just a dark brown color.ย Thank god for Korean color contacts, which usually suits dark brown eye colors in terms of color blending and vibrancy.
Olens has definitely upped their game in terms of graphics, color blending choices and keeping in mind how it would look on dark brown eyes. The new Scandi line has such a beautiful blend, it almost looks like the colors are flowing like smoke in the air.
Scandi Aqua has light blue, green, yellow and oranges all blended in and the outer ring dispurses into nothing, making your natural eye color either make you look like you are wearing circle lense (if you have dark eyes) or it would blend into those with super light eyes.
This color would look good in pictures for me, but it wouldn’t be a shade I’d grab on a daily.ย I feel like because the color is so light, it makes me look like my eyes are protruding out of my skull like a lizard or alien, which I’m not a huge fan of.
Comparing the Scandi aqua with Spanish real sky and Russian Velvet, I definitely like the Russian velvet one the best if I wanted a dramatic eye change.ย The Russian velvet one blends into the eyes better while the Spanish real sky looks much more natural.ย The Scandi one would look better on those who have lighter eyes than me to prevent the lizard eye.
After falling madly in love with the original grey from Scandi, I was curious to see how the light grey compares.ย The original has more of a darker, muted grey while the new version is, well like the name states, light grey.
The light grey is definitely not brighter and noticeable than the original but I do still really like it.ย The original has more of an almost forest green hue to it while this Scandi one has a mix of light grey, hints of sliver lines, and a golden yellow ring in the center.
Out of all the grays I’ve tried from Olens, the Scandi gray is still my favorite.ย I really want to wear the Russian velvet grey more often, but because it is such a cool tone grey, I can’t get myself to wear it since it just doesn’t look right with my skintone.
The comfortability is still the same, doesn’t dry my eyes out, and stays moist all day.ย I think the original three (brown, gray, olive) caters to those who want to enhance their original eye color while the two new releases are for those who want a more dramatic look.ย It definitely depends on what type of look you want to achieve but I’m still a die-hard Scandi gray lover.
Which is your favorite shade?ย Have you tried Olens before?
