107 beauty everyday plump hydro cream review I Renewal of a favourite brand

I’m so happy one of my favorite brands have come back to us, bigger and better!  They recently did a whole revamp of the brand and repackaged/ reformulated some of their products into this new sleek, millennial-friendly packaging.  If you don’t know too much about the brand 107 beauty, formally known as 107 oneoseven, take the time to read about the brand, how it was created, and their mission to share the love of 7-year fermented vinegar in their skincare line. We’re going to revisit their hydro cream, their revamped version of their coreflex hydro rich cream, which I used to love oh so much!!  107 beauty is more of the mid-range price range but isn’t as expensive as Sulwhasoo.  They have just as much history behind the brand and considering the fact that they use their own patent 7-year-old fermented vinegar, I think they are quite reasonably priced.  Anyways, let’s get into the review!

Moroheiya Leaf Ferment Filtrate
Moroheiya leaf ferment filtrate comes from the “royal vegetable” originating from Ancient Egypt. It helps to reduce water loss and increase skin hydration.

Lactobacillus Ferment Filtrates/Extracts
Lactobacillus filtrates/extracts from fermented soymilk, pomegranate and red ginseng help to nourish and strengthen the skin barrier.

Formulation Notes
All our products are formulated without butylated hydroxyanisole (BHA), butylated hydroxytoluene (BHT), ethanolamines (MEA/DEA/TEA), formaldehyde, formaldehyde releasers, hydroquinone, methoxy ethanol, methylchloroisothiazolinone, methylisothiazolinone, mineral oils, oxybenzone, parabens, paraffins, petrolatums, phthalates, resorcinol, sulfate surfactants (SLS/SLES), synthetic dyes, synthetic fragrances, toluene, triclocarban and triclosan. We test all our formulations to ensure no 1,4-dioxane or unreacted ethylene oxide contamination (down to 1ppm). Our formulations are also cruelty-free and packaged in recyclable containers.

How to use:
Massage a dime-sized amount onto the face and neck area. Pat product into the skin with hands for better absorption. Use in the morning and at night, after cleansing and toning.

Product packaging:
The new revamped version comes in this gorgeous sleek bottle.  There is actually a story behind why all the products in this line are a different shade of pink.  Starting with the Chaga cleanser down to the moisturizer, each is shades of pink from lightest to darkest to determine which step the products should be in your routine.  Since the moisturizer should be the last step to your routine, it is the darkest shade of pink.
I forgot to take a picture of the box that this cream comes in, but the insides are all the same gorgeous block pattern.  The meaning behind the pattern is to reflect on 보자기 (Bojagi), a traditional Korean wrapping cloth believed to keep wrapped items protected with good luck.  This is 107 beauty’s way of wishing you good luck and fortune in the most sincere way possible.  How thoughtful :'(. *cries a little inside*

The packaging is very standard with the additional lid to keep everything airtight and such.

Texture/ Finish + Effects/ Results:
The texture is thicker than its predecessor and my guess is because of the addition of herbs and oils in the new formulation.  To me, it feels almost feels like a lightweight balm that leaves a dewiness that takes about 20 minutes to fully absorb.  I personally enjoy that “heaviness” for my dry skin, but my skin soaks it all up in half a day or so.  I need to layer if I want to use this during the wintertime, but this would be more ideal for me during the spring and summertime.  Yes, I am that dry.

Long term wise, I do see my skin condition maintained better and my overall complexion brighter.  My skin is happy and there is no stinging or irritation, contrary to what you would think for a vinegar-based skincare item.  Fermented vinegar actually has a lot of amino acids and probiotics through the process they use to age their vinegar.  107 used to use 5-year fermented vinegar but decided to upgrade it to 7 years since it offered way more amino acids.

Fragrance?:
This product does not contain any added fragrance.  There is a very minuscule amount of a sweet scent, smell-o-scale: 1/10 in terms of how strong the scent is and it fades right after you apply it.

Pro:
-very nourishing
-maintained my skin “health”
-provides a nice glow to the skin

Con:
Better to use during the spring and summer for me, but that’s not really a con.

Overall thoughts:
I’m really satisfied with the revamped version of one of my holy grail creams.  They added a lot more herbs and upgraded the vinegar for its added amino acid properties.  The consistency of the cream is just the way I like it, leaving my skin hydrated, dewy, and supple while maintaining my skin condition.  Overall this is a two thumbs up and I highly recommend for you to check it out.
