Lador ACV vinegar shampoo & treatment review

Lador ACV vinegar shampoo and treatment reviewTrying to find a more accessible replacement for my beloved Ryo shampoo has been a complete struggle.ย  For the past couple of months, I’ve been testing out so many hair care products, however, the majority of them have either made my hair super heavy or made my scalp really oily really fast.

Lador is another brand that is well-loved in the beauty community both domestically in Korea as well as overseas.ย  I have tried their keratin treatment but it did nothing for my hair.ย  Then again, I’ve heard if you don’t need intensive care like a keratin treatment for your hair, it isn’t going to benefit you anyways.

So here we are, testing out Lador’s latest product launch that I was curious about.ย  I have heard using apple cider vinegar on your scalp will help reduce oiliness as well as cleanse it on a deeper level.ย  Now I’m not about to walk around with vinegar in my hair, smelling like a vinaigrette all over town.ย  Apple cider vinegar built into a product will work much better!ย  Let’s get into the review!

My hair profile

So a little bit about my hair type.ย  I have quite a bit of thickness but the strains of my hair are relatively fine I would say?ย  It is super dry and very frizzy.ย  So frizzy that when I was an infant in Hong Kong with horrible humid weather, my hair would puff up really bad and people thought my mom gave a 1-year-old an afro perm.ย  It has taken me a quarter of a century to figure out my hair, what type of products to use and how to heat treat it so I don’t look like I have a rat’s nest on the top of my head.

Lador ACV vinegar shampoo reviewAfter getting my package with these haircare products, immediately I thought to myself “darn it, I should have got the bigger bottle!”ย  150 mL would be a good sampler if you weren’t too sure if you were going to like the formula.ย  Heck, I thought it was going to be super smelly and acidic.ย  Little did I know, it was going to smell like juicy apples and work so well on my hair!

Lador ACV vinegar shampoo reviewTexture/ Finish:
The shampoo comes in a gel formula and lathers up nicely with a bit of bubble.ย  It doesn’t seem to strip my hair completely and softens up the strains of my hair too!ย  Some shampoos in the past wash a little too clean and leaves that drying and stripping feeling to my hair.ย  Luckily, this one doesn’t

I also have an issue with always getting these weird bumps in my hair, kind of like pimples?ย  Depending on where the placement is on my scalp, it hurts!ย  Like sometimes it is near where I wear my glasses and the legs of my glasses scrap against it.ย  Just UGH!ย  Lador ACV vinegar shampoo has definitely been able to keep those bumps at bay.

Another thing about shampoos is their ability to keep my scalp from getting oily.ย  What I loved about the Ryo shampoo is that my hair isn’t oily even after the third day.ย  This shampoo is a close second!! I’d say my hair doesn’t look as fresh as it would have been on day 1, but it still isn’t gross, flat, and oily on the third day.ย  I am impressed!!

Fragrance?:
This shampoo smells like heavenly juicy apples.ย  If you’ve had Japanese apple candies, this is exactly what it smells like.ย  Smell-o-scale: 7/10 in terms of how strong the scent is and it doesn’t linger long after washing off (a shame!).ย  I remember the days when I use to use herbal essence as a kid and ran in gym class, making everyone who passes me smell the tropical breezing being omitted out of my hair.

Pro:
-kept my hair from getting oily even after day 3
-doesn’t strip the hair
-leaves hair soft
-scalp feels refreshed

Con:
-I need the bigger bottle!!

Repurchase?:
Yes, I need the bigger bottle like right now.

Overall thoughts:
Overall I’m very pleased with this shampoo and most definitely will purchase it again.ย  This will be my Ryo alternative!ย  I really did feel like I didn’t have to worry if my hair was going to look like a mess after three days with this shampoo.ย  My scalp also didn’t have any of those issues like dandruff, bumps, or oiliness.ย  I highly recommend you guys check out this shampoo!

Lador ACV vinegar treatment reviewI find it kind of odd the treatment doesn’t come in a mini pump like the shampoo.ย  But nonetheless, at least the tube is easier to recycle LOL.ย  Anyways, if you get the full-size treatment, you will be getting a pump.

Lador ACV vinegar treatment reviewTexture/ Finish:
This might be the worst texture shot on earth, but I just didn’t want to waste the product LOLOL.ย  The treatment comes in a creamy texture, melts into my hair, and leaves my hair feeling oh so soft!!ย  Some treatments tend to be a little too heavy for my hair, even though it is dry and frizzy.ย  There has to be some sort of balance! This treatment gives me the balance between being moisturizing, hydrating, and softening without me feeling like a matted-down dog.ย  Trust me, I’ve been trying out a lot of hair care products lately and a couple of products have done that to me.ย  Done me dirty!!

Fragrance?:
The treatment also smells like juicy apples hehe.ย  Smell-o-scale: 7/10 in terms of how strong the scent is and it does linger for a little while but it fades.ย  I’m not sure if it fades or I got so used to smelling it to the point of not being able to smell it anymore.ย  Either way, I love the scent of it.

Pro:
-hydrating and moisturizing without feeling heavy
-doesn’t make my scalp oily after 3 days
-hair is softened and tangles less

Con:
No complaints here!

Repurchase?:
Yes

Overall thoughts:
I think if you wanted to try this line of hair care products from Lador, I would definitely buy both of them together.ย  They just work so well together and it would take out the guessing game for you.ย  Both products complement each other so well. Even if I didn’t have the shampoo, I would still use the treatment by itself paired with another shampoo.ย  But I still like them both together, so maybe not.ย  Either way, check this haircare line out!ย  It is so good, so hydrating, softening, and doesn’t weigh my hair down (which is the most important factor!).

Sometimes the product line works best if used together. So i agree there. Definitely the plant extracts cleared up the scalp to make it healthy. I likes both the reviews of products. Thanks for introducing them to me. Xx
