The body, is a part of my skincare routine which I definitely neglect.ย I’m trying to get better at it now and have been experimenting with more and more body care products.ย For the first time, I tried an oil-in serum shower oil from Korres and LOVED it.ย So, I’ve been on the hunt to build my little body care library with products that I can use in the shower so I don’t have to moisturize after I get out of the shower.ย Call me lazy, or call me smart.ย I’ve seen this one around from Village 11 with a built-in oil within the wash.ย I don’t know what the difference is between the relax day and the violet version, so I pretty much blindly got the relax day.ย Let’s get into the review and see if this body oil wash is hydrating enough for us to be able to skip moisturizing the body!

How to use:
Shake the bottle 2-3 times to mix the layers.ย Squeeze onto a luffa and lather up.ย Massage into the skin.ย Rinse off thoroughly with water.
Product packaging:
The first picture where the body was laying down didn’t show the separation between the oil and the wash.ย Here, you can clearly see it is separated and it will emulsify once you shake it a bit.ย I usually like a pump for my body wash since I’m lazy and also have butter fingers.
Texture/ Finish:
After you shake it up, the texture becomes milky and creamy.ย To my surprise, the texture of this body wash is much more watery than I expected it to be.ย I personally don’t use a loofa since I find it to be kind of gross.ย It is always damp and harbors bacteria.ย I usually just use an Italian towel and I don’t find this body wash to lather up as much.ย It kind of just runs down my body if I don’t rub fast enough.
After leaving the shower, my skin doesn’t feel all that much hydrated either.ย Yes, I am pale but I do see myself looking flakey and dry moving up north.ย The oils in this body wash just aren’t heavy enough for my super dry skin.ย And….. THERE’S ROSE IN IT T___T.ย I must have missed it in the list when I checked before, but there is Rosa Damascena Flower Oil as the last ingredient.ย To my surprise, the skin on my body didn’t react to it, yet. I don’t want to stay and find out if it does.ย I’m going to either have to get my boyfriend to use it or pass it on to a friend.
Fragrance?:
This body wash is very floral, without being super overpowering.ย It is that refreshing floral scent, not the stuffy and powdery type. Smell-o-scale: 7/10 in terms of how strong the scent is and it lingers a bit after showering however it doesn’t last too long.
Pro:

-doesn’t dry out my skin
Con:
-oils not nourishing enough
-too watery for a body wash
-doesn’t lather up if you don’t use a loofa
-hidden rose ingredient T__T

Overall thoughts:
This body wash just wasn’t what I was expecting.ย It is much lighter than I wanted it to be, the oils built into the formula just aren’t nourishing enough and there’s rose in it T_T.ย For those of you who don’t know, I’m highly allergic to rose.ย I’ve also never used a body wash that is so light in texture.ย If you don’t massage it in fast enough, it kind of just slides off your body.ย I’ll give it that it doesn’t strip my skin, however, it isn’t what I’m looking for.ย I need it to be nourishing enough so I can be a lazy person and not have to use body lotion after showering.ย Overall I think this is a decent product, but I wouldn’t repurchase it.
