I’ve been working with Wishtrend for a couple months now. So when they released this new light blue moisturizer, I was super curious to try it for myself.ย Out of all skincare products, exfoliating/ peeling products along with moisturizing products are one of my two favourite skincare items to try.ย I got the opportunity to get this product sent to me to test out for you guys, so let’s get onto the review shall we?

How to use:
You can use this soothing cream after intensive skin treatments/care, after pore care, post shaving,ย being in the sun for too long, after popping a pimple, or if your skin is red and irritated. ย You can use this moisturizer as a spot treatment or just all over the face like usual.
Product packaging:
When I first got this soothingย cream, I was slightly surprised by the size of the jar.ย I was expecting something a little bigger then this, especially getting spoiled by the usual sizes K-beauty offers.ย This creamย comes in a tinted brown glass jar with a matte black, screw on lid.ย Inside the cardboard box, it also comes with a little clear plastic spatula to keep things sanitary. When I was still using western products, I would always chuckle at the thought of a stupid little spatula because, well… I’m too lazy to use a spatula when I have fingers for goodness sake.ย But I’ve learned to appreciate those little spatulas now.

Texture/ Finish:
When you first see this cream, you might think “Uhh will this turn me into Avatar?”ย No?ย Just me? Okay fine, I thought that at least.ย Luckily, this didn’t stain my skin thank goodness. ย Apparently the cream is this bright blue color because the main ingredients is “Guaiazulene”, which is “a plant based component extracted from camomile oil“.
Texture wise, this is a lightweight gel texture that absorbs into the skin effortlessly.ย When I first used this cream, I wasn’t so sure if it would be hydrating enough for me but surprisingly, it is! Well it isn’t as hydrating as I’d want it to be, but I could use this during the spring/summer time when my skin is slightly oilier then during the fall/ winter time.ย Once applied to the skin and allowed to be absorbed, after about five minutes, makes my skin glow somehow.ย Not the oily type of glow but a “I’m glowing from within” type of glow. ย
*Update: ย I got an email from Wishtrend telling me that this cream is meant to be a spot treatment as a soothing cream. Maybe that is why the jar is so small compared to regular moisturizers.*
I took this picture two months back when I was testing out this moisturizer. ย I didn’t have an extra light shining on me, I swear. ย It was only the usual light I have in my room. ย That was the glow I was talking about to give you a visual since I don’t think I made total sense up above haha. ย Granted this is from a combination of good cleansing with my Wishformula pad (just the pad, none of the peeling liquids soaked into it) I had left over and some of my exfoliating products I’m also testing out. My skin never looked better!
Once you massage the cream into your skin, none of the bright baby blue appears, so no this isn’t Avatar cream. ย I kinda wish it was though…Is that weird for me to say?
At first when the moisturizer has absorbed into the skin, I thought maybe it isn’t enough hydration since it is so lightweight. Throughout the month and a half of me testing it, my skin never felt tight so I guess it is enough for me. ย Sometimes I do find myself needing a bit of facial oil but most of the time it is okay. ย This moisturizer definitely would be a spring/summer moisturizer for me. ย If your oily or combo skin type or if you live in a humid climate, you might like this better then me.
pH level:
This moisturizer has a pH level of 5, meaning neutral and won’tย irritateย the skin.
Fragrance?:
This cream has a unique scent to it. ย Because one of the main ingredients is Guaiazulene (extraction from camomile oil), there is a strong earthy scent. ย If you’d tell me to describe it, it smells like earthy + herbal + hint of sunscreen smell. ย It’s definitely not a bad or artificial scent, but for those who are sensitive to herbal scents or fragrance in general, you might not like this because smell-o-scale=7/10 for strength of fragrance. I personally don’t mind the scent because, well…. I grew up using tiger balm and you knowย you can smell that sh*t from miles away. ย It’s like a tiger being able to smell a wounded prey, ya’ll know that person is injured somehow.
Effects/ Results:
From what they stated on the website about this creamย they said it would be able to calm the skin through it’s camomile extract. ย The only parts of my face that I’d want for it to calm down is around my cheeks. ย The skin around my cheeks is slightly thinner then the rest of my face, so it is always somewhat red. ย Other then that, I don’t have many problems on my skin other then the usual flakey skin and such. ย I did use this after I waxed my eyebrows and forehead. ย Usually when I wax my face, there would be a bit of red bumps around the center of my forehead and along the top of my eyebrows. ย I used this moisturizer religiously for a good month and a half but I didn’t really see it do much to be quite frank. ย The red bumps didn’t seem to go away faster nor did the redness go down.
Pro:
-lightweight + absorbs into skinย quickly
-leaves a slight glow to the skin

-maybe not hydrating enough for dry skin
-pricey for 1 fl. oz of product

Overall thoughts:
I definitely don’t think this is a bad cream,ย but I don’t think it is anything special to say the least. ย I’m not sure if this brand was designed for a more humid climate because the couple Klairs products I have tried so far, they don’t work that well on my dry skin. ย Other then the scrub I’ve been using, their BB cream, concealer and this creamย doesn’t like my skin that much. ย It seems to be that they work better for combo or oily skin. ย Overall this creamย is decent in terms of it not irritating my skin and did a decent job in the hydration department, but other then that, there wasn’t anything special or memorable that would make me want to repurchase. ย I give this a passing grade.
