Cosrx Propolis light cream comes in a fully plastic jar with an extra airtight lid inside to keep everything nice and sanitary. I love their choice of shape for this jar as it reminds me of a pot of honey.
Texture/ Finish:
Just like the name suggests, this is a light cream, almost gel-like.ย I don’t know what I was expecting, but Cosrx has surprised me in the past with their birch sap lotion so I thought this might be more moisturizing than it looks.ย The first ingredient on the list is Propolis extract (hydration, calms inflammation, anti-bacterial properties) alongside Glycerin, Helianthus Annuus Seed Oil (aka. Sunflower seed oil), Honey Extract, Royal Jelly Extract, all known to be highly moisturizing.
Unfortunately for me, even with all those star products, this Cosrx propolis light cream fell a little short for my very dry skin.ย I tried to layer it with my other moisturizing products, but I just woke up to a face full of dryness.ย This light cream sinks into the skin easily, leaving a very slight glow that goes away very quickly for my dry skin.
I just don’t think this cream was built for those living in cold climates and has very dry skin.ย This is better for those with normal to oily skin and maybe combo skin types, but you might find your cheeks to be a little dry.ย I did give my friend a sample of this cream and she absolutely loves it, so it is definitely just my sad dry skin’s problem.

Overall thoughts:
I definitely don’t think this is a bad product, especially looking at the ingredient list and seeing so many ingredients I’d theoretically like.ย If you are looking for a lightweight but moisture packed cream, you have to check out their oil-free birch sap lotion instead.ย That stuff is unreal and way more effective for my dry skin and a lot of other skin types as well.ย Overall I give this product a passing grade but you might have a better experience with this light cream if you don’t have dry skin.
