How to use:
After washing your face, take a moderate amount of the green tea toner either on a cotton ball or in the palm of your hands and gently swipe on your face or pat it into your face.ย Continue onto essences, serums or ampoules of your desire.
Product packaging:
Isntree’s green tea fresh toner comes in a matte brown, hard plastic bottle with a twist-off cap.ย I lowkey want to get all their toners so I can line them all up LOL.ย Yes, this is what a true skincare addict sounds like.
To dispense the product, simply tip the bottle and a bit of the product will dispense like a ketchup bottle.
Texture/ Finish:
The texture of the Isntree green tea toner is a very watery brown liquid (that sounds nasty LOL) that absorbs easily into the skin but does take its time a bit.ย It leaves behind a decent amount of hydration and there is a slight cooling sensation when being absorbed.ย There are quite a few oil-controlling ingredients, which usually works against my favour but I didn’t find this to dry my skin out or anything.ย Although I didn’t see crazy changes in my skin, I really did enjoy the refreshing nature of this toner.
Something that kept popping in my head when I used Isntree green tea toner was that it shadowed something very similar that I’ve tried that is much more (I mean MUCH more) expensive.ย And that product is Amorepacific’s vintage single extract essence that retails for $175 USD for 150 mL.ย I absolutely love Amorepacific’s best selling and award-winning essence but with that price tag, I’m not sure if any would have the kahunas to pay that price.ย
Amorepacific’s ingredients go as the following:
Water, Propanediol, Glycerin, Camellia Sinensis Leaf Extract, 1,2-Hexanediol, Ethylhexylglycerin
Amorepacific prides itself on their exclusively Korean-grown green tea leaves which they use only their left hand to pick since your non-dominate hand wouldn’t harm the leaves when picked.ย Once the leaves have been picked, it is aged for a current amount of time and is made into the essence.ย The ingredients list is very simple but I’ve found it to be really hydrating and definitely does its job in calming and maintaining my skin’s health.
I am not saying Isntree’s green tea fresh toner is an exact dupe, but the functionality definitely reminds me of its luxury counterpart.ย This also goes to say the process of creating this toner and the extraction concentration is different, however for those who want some sort of green tea toner that does a good enough job, Isntree’s would be a good candidate.
Fragrance?:
There is a faint tea scent that is really refreshing but also very faint. Smell-o-scale: 4/10 in terms of how strong the scent is and it fades right after application.
Pro:
-lightweight/ absorbs easily
-light hydration
-calming and cooling
Con:
No complaints!

Overall thoughts:
I’m actually a bit shocked at how much more I liked this product than I would.ย Yes, it isn’t a product with a crazy amount of hydration but it offers much more than just hydration.ย My skin definitely feels calmer, it cools it down slightly which is great for the summertime and I’m sure there would be long-term benefits as well. Overall I’m quite pleased with this toner and would much rather recommend this Isntree green tea toner than the Isntree hyaluronic acid (original formula) toner.
