Air puffs have always been my go-to way to apply my foundation or any type of liquid or cream product.ย Why do I choose them over the beauty blender? Well, they are cheaper to buy and I can always use a fresh one every time I put on make-up. I have a little bucket which when it fills up, I would clean them with a bar of soap, and viola! They are good to go again.ย When I moved up north, I forgot to pack them.ย So when I saw them on Jolse, I thought this was a great buy since you get 8 of them, all in different shapes and they all have different functions.ย I was also very intrigued by the small egg-shaped ones.ย I’ve never seen such a size and it would have been great for the under eye.ย Let’s get into the breakdown~

Product packaging:
This set of 8 cushion puffs comes in a simple cardboard box. If you actually break the box down, there is a guide to each of the cushions and how to use them (shown in the promo picture up above).ย ย
Shapes/ texture:
For the semi glow base (white line puffs), comes in four different shapes.ย All of the shapes make sense to me, except for the heart-shaped one.ย I’m not sure if that one is just there to be cute or not.ย The texture of the semi-glow base cushion seems stiffer than the black ones.ย I think this is to prevent product excess product from absorbing, making your base dewier and more hydrating.ย
I’m honestly not a fan of the one with holes.ย I find the product sinks in a bit too much and it’s also harder to clean.
The black line puff is softer and will absorb more product to create that mattifying finish.ย I’m actually much more used to the black version since this is the standard type of cushion you’ll get when buying a cushion foundation.
I like every shape the black ones have to offer.ย On lazy days when I don’t feel like putting on makeup, I’ll still put on an under-eye color corrector and the baby sponges have been a great help at blending them in quickly and evenly.ย If they sold just the small egg-shaped ones, I’d get a whole box of those instead.
Look at them!ย They’re so cuteeeeee~
Pro:
-good kit for beginners
-many shapes to work with
-two types of textures to work with for different effects
Con:
-both types aren’t super different from each other
Repurchase?:
I would if they had just the under-eye cushions!

Overall thoughts:
I think this is a great little set for beginners who want to expand their air puff collection.ย For someone like me who used to buy a lot of BB cushions, I accumulated a lot over the years.ย The air puffs do break down over time and crumble, so it is a good idea to replace them.ย Overall I think these are cute and worth the money if you need more.ย The baby under-eye air puffs are so worth it and it is still cheaper to get these that have 8 sponges rather than the beauty blender which is $25+ usd.
