If you’ve been a reader for a while, you’ll know how many times I have complained about K-beauty lip tints looking so highlighter-esque and just looks so unnatural. The only Korean lip tint I’ve ever liked was Pony effect’s favorite fluid lip tints and I’ve praised the glossy formula and beautifully curated color range. Well, those have been long expired and I still haven’t had the heart to throw them away and I think I can let them go with these new Moonshot tintfit shine coming into my collection. I saw the promo pictures and it looked similar! On top of that, they were on 40% off on Jolse since they had a Moonshot brand sale, bumping these down to $7.50 a piece!! How to use:
Take an appropriate amount with the tip and swipe it from inside to the outside of your lips.

Packaging:
Some of you guys mentioned that the packaging reminds you guys of Giorgio Armani’s ecstasy lacquer lip gloss, and I can definitely see that. With the whole ombre look going on and the colors peeking out at the bottom, the design definitely makes the product look more luxurious than the price tag.

Of course the lip tint comes with a doe-foot applicator, but the applicator is very unique and nothing like I’ve come across. The doe-foot has many angles to it and is cut almost into a diamond shape with one side being flat with a hole to catch product for easy application. At first I didn’t really like the shape since it felt like I had to dip it back into the tube couple more times than normal, but I did find the point of the doe-foot to be easier to make a precious application. It is almost like using a pencil and if I need to cover more surface area, I flip it to the side and it does the job.This kind of looks like a criminal mugshot haha.

The doe-foot is about the same size as normal and doesn’t really take more time than normal for application.

Color/ Pigmentation + texture / finish:
So this tint range only has 5 shades for now and I’m praying they come out with more neutral and pinky shades. When I first saw the promo and saw it had mostly reds and orange, I wasn’t all that stoked. But with the price point being so affordable, I thought I might as well swatch them all for you guys. I have to say, I’m actually going to be able to wear all 5 shades, depending on my mood for the day of course.

501 apricot beige and 505 mood berry would be my everyday go-to, my lips but better colors while 502 youth coral would be my MLBB but just a little bit more color. For the summertime, 503 mellow roses would be my go-to while 504 merry orange would be for date night or some special occasion where I want to be a badass boss.

These lip tints also tint the lips very evenly, without sinking into every crack of your lip and accentuating them. I HATE it when that happens and it really makes your lips look like buttonholes. Not only do normal lip tints make you look dry, but every line on your lip being accentuating really also doesn’t make a cute look. I’ve been using 505 mood berry almost every day and over lining my lips ever so slightly and using it almost like a lip liner. With the tint settled in and the gloss fading over time, it makes my looks look naturally bigger and still juicy with the leftover hydrating. Ugh, such a yummy look.

Like always, here are my natural lips to compare.

501 apricot beige: neutral pinky beige with a light undertone of peach

502 youth coral: neutral muted coral shade

503 mellow rose: neutral muted rose shade with a slight orange undertone

504 merry orange: cool tone bright orange shade with cherry red undertones

505 mood berry: warm light berry shade, the best MLBB color!

And here are my lips after it is tinted. Granted the center of my lips is a little bit dry from all the swatching, but this lip tint doesn’t have that line accentuating effect that happens with a lot of other lip tints I’ve tried. The glossy effect fades away after about 4 hours but the hydrating stays on my lips all day. The tint also doesn’t fade until you use makeup remover. If you need the lip tint to be fully removed, you’re going to have to buy one of those lip tint removers.

The texture is almost jelly-like on the lips, lightweight, and does not have a sticky texture. I would smack my lips together and it just feels like it is coated with this amazingly hydrated jelly. Smooth, not heavy, not greasy.

Fragrance?:
All of these lip tints smell like fresh-cut apples. It is so delicious smelling and just makes the whole process more enjoyable. Smell-o-scale: 5/10 in terms of how strong the scent is and it does fade after application.

Overall thoughts:
I think I’ve made my options very clear about these lip tints. They are the bomb dot com and if you guys are looking into getting a lip tint, these would be my go-to recommendations. Three of the five shade are pretty neutral and all of them are super wearable. The texture is an absolute dream, the scent is on point, and the way it tints your lips is not too harsh and just so flattering. I give these an easy holy grail status and three thumbs up. Get them!!!
