Product packaging:
The packaging is relatively standard. This cream comes in a plastic tube with a pop-off lid.ย Nothing special but I do appreciate that it is in a tube and not in a jar where my dirty fingers would get into it because, let’s be honest, I don’t use a spatula every time I go into my moisturizers.
The cream is kept very clean with this lid.ย I absolutely hateeeeee tin tubes and still don’t know why there are brands out there that choose to use tin tubes of all things.ย The product just ends up squirting out because of how it is stored and even the littlest dent in the tube will be a nightmare to open.
Texture/ Finish + effect:
The texture of the Skin1004 Madagascar Centella cream is very lightweight and almost gel-like.ย It absorbs into the skin very quickly and doesn’t leave much behind.ย I, unfortunately, have very dry skin, so this cream didn’t do much for me at all.ย I was trying to get the other version of the cream, but Jolse had to email me and tell me it was out of stock.ย A lot of products were out of stock due to the pandemic but have since come back in stock.ย I may order it since I’m still curious how the texture and hydration levels differ.
I can’t speak on whether or not this cream helped soothe or heal my skin, to be honest.ย It wasn’t hydrating enough, to begin with, so my skin always felt like it was lacking something.ย I’ve even tried to layer it with other products and finished it off with this cream, but it still wasn’t enough.ย I think it would have decent during the summertime when I’m sweating balls, but not for the wintertime for sure.
Fragrance?:
There’s a slight Centella scent to it but it isn’t overpowering or strong.ย Smell-o-scale: 4/10 in terms of how strong the scent is and it does fade after application.ย I actually find the scent to be quite soothing and relaxing hehe.

Overall thoughts:
I don’t fault this moisturizer and think it is a decent product, but it was nothing compared to what I imagined it could be.ย With the high hopes in mind after testing out the amazing Centella ampoule, this was quite a disappointment.ย It was not hydrating enough and didn’t really do much for the skin.ย This is definitely better for those with combo and oily skin types or anyone that is living in high humidity areas.ย Overall I give this an average score but it is quite a passable and unmemorable product.
