Rice, my go-to for all three of my meals and something I love slathering all over my face. Thank you farmer, one of my top ten trusted favorite brands came out with a whole line of rice products and I knew I had to get my hands on them.  I’ll be reviewing all three rice products for you guys, their mud rice cleanser, rice toner which I frinkin’ love, and their duo gel and cream moisturizer.  Let’s start off with the 2-in-1 clay mask cleanser today :).

How to use:
Apply evenly to dry skin except around the eyes and lips.  After 1-2 minutes of drying time, massage the cleanse to let it foam up and rinse off gently.

Product packaging:
The cleanser comes in this convenient tube packaging, which I’m so grateful for because a lot of clay mask products always come in jars.  I’m not a huge fan of scooping product out and mud masks tend to dry out a lot faster.  It is actually quite a big tube and contains 150 mL of product.

To open the tube, it is a snap shut packaging which I love!

Texture/ Finish:
I was honestly a bit scared of this mask in a cleanser because of the clay.  I tend to stay away from clay or mud masks since it usually dries out my dry skin, but this one is really lightweight and didn’t dry down to that crackly feeling.  You are supposed to leave it on for 1-2 minutes and then massage your skin.  This concept also reminds me of the Neogen Canadian clay pore cleanser which, unfortunately, I don’t reach for too much.

This cleanser does foam up slightly to a really rich and silky lather and leaves my skin feeling slightly squeaky clean but not exactly the bad dry way.  It feels somewhat drying but not tight like I just had a facelift if that makes sense.  My overall appearance also looks a bit brightened due to the use of rice in the formula.

It is said the clay is supposed to help clean out the pores.  I don’t know if it is just my pores, but clay never really “sucks” out dirt and blackheads for me. I need to either use chemical exfoliates to keep my blackheads at bay or just manually extract them with a tool.

pH level:
This cleanser got a pH 5, meaning it is closest to the human skin’s natural level and most likely won’t irritate your skin.

Fragrance?:
No fragrance detected

Pro:
-leaves skin softened
-somewhat brightened after cleansing

Con:
-skin feels slightly dry

Repurchase?:
No because I’m lazy LOL.

Overall thoughts:
Okay, don’t get me wrong.  I gave it an average rating because I have dry skin and this does dry my skin ever so slightly.  I do like the silky texture but I’m too much of a lazy individual to wait around for my cleanser to “dry” for 2 minutes before I can wash it off.  I like the softening effect it has on my skin and the 2 in 1 functionality would work way better for someone with combo or normal skin type.  Overall this is a good product, just not for my sad dry skin </3.
