Missha tonight brilliance oil in cream I Moon power!!

Missha tonight brilliance oil in cream reviewContinuing on with Misshaโ€™s tonight brilliance line, I also tried the oil in cream!  I think I like the boosting essence and the oil in cream equally and both do something different with similar ingredients.  Iโ€™m sure most people have seen this line online and want to get it just because it is pretty. Iโ€™m happy to report I do like both products with exception for the lip balm which is absolutely gross to me.  Letโ€™s get into the oil in cream review!

How to use:
After you have cleansed, toned and used desire serums, essences and/or ampoules, finish off your routine with the oil in cream and massage into your skin to absorb.

Product packaging:
Just like the boosting essence, this oil in cream has the same gorgeous purple ombre in this hard plastic jar.  The box did come with a plastic spatula but I honestly never really use it.  Yes I know, GERMS! Well, I also accidentally dropped the jar and dumped half of the product out so it is already filled with hella germs.  And before you cringed, NO I DIDNโ€™T PUT THE DROPPED SHIT BACK.  My god, Iโ€™m not a cavewoman.

One thing that really annoys me is the lid.  Although there is a plastic cover for it, there is a little bit of the product that always leaks out and once you screw the lid on, it gets caught and gets all gross and dried up like this.  This is really hard to cleanโ€ฆ

Texture/ Finish:
Since this was a blind buy, I never really know what the texture is to a cream.  When I opened the jar, I was low-key disappointed to see it is a gel texture.  However, with this cream being an โ€œoil in creamโ€, the oil was its saving grace for my dry skin. Just like the boosting essence, this oil also uses the same almond oil, ceramide and hyaluronic acid which gives this cream a boost in hydration.  Thereโ€™s also green tea, Camelilia extract, Jasmine Extract to calm the skin down.

Looking into the jar, you wonโ€™t ever notice the cream has a bit of pearlescent sheen to it.  I only discovered this after I accidentally dumped half the jar onto the floor and had to pick it up.

This is what I call space jizz.  The pearl particles built into this cream also give my face a bit of a natural glow but it isnโ€™t stripper glitter all over the face which you would notice throughout the day when the sun shines on you.  It is a very natural sheen that is so natural, you almost donโ€™t notice it.

After the cream has absorbed into the skin, your skin will feel somewhat oily.  I personally enjoy the slight greasy finish but those with oily skin types or even combo skin may not enjoy it.  Those who do have combo skin, Iโ€™d recommend applying this on your cheeks and not your T zone.

Fragrance?:
This cream has the same fragrance has the boosting essence.  It is that fruity, Japanese candy scent but Iโ€™m pretty sure it isnโ€™t supposed to be fruity with green tea, chamomile, and vanilla in the ingredients.  Smell-o-scale: 5/10 in terms of how strong the scent is and the fragrance does fade after application.

Pro:
-lightweight
-2 in 1 product; facial oil built into a moisturizer
-gorgeous natural glow

Con:
-I still need to pair it with other products so it would be hydrating enough

Overall thoughts:
I am teetering between giving this product a 3 star or a 4 star.  I do really really like this cream but it isnโ€™t hydrating enough on its own.  I have to pair it with either the boosting essence in the same line or other serums/ essences for my skin to not feel dehydrated.  Overall this is a very interesting product and is worth giving a try if youโ€™ve been eyeing it but I wouldnโ€™t say it is life-changing.  If you want something without fragrance, simple ingredients and just effective in general, check out the Make Prem safe me relief moisture cream 12.  Iโ€™d give this one thumb up and a green light if you are wanting to try something a bit more interesting and a two in one product.
