Okay, I promise after these few Missha products, I’m going to give them a break.ย Wait,ย hold on, I don’t think I can keep that promise since I got their new foundation too dahahahha.ย They’ve just keep killing it with the new releases!ย Anyways I’m going to review the whole tonight brilliance boosting line since a lot of you have been super curious about it and I’ve been posting it a lot on my Instagram.

How to use:
After you have cleansed and toned your face, saturate a cotton pad or use your hands to pat in the product and let it absorb before continuing on with your skins are routine.
Product packaging:
The packaging for this line is definitely the main reason most people are drawn to this line and I was definitely one of them.ย This line came out around the time Hotel del Luna starring IU was airing and it was the absolute right timing.ย The packaging reminds me so much of that mystical, ghostly but beautiful and starry vibe and I wanted that on my vanity!
The bottle is hard plastic with the gorgeous purple ombre look.ย I didn’t notice this sooner but the essence has a pearlescent look to it!!ย It kind of looks like I’m looking into the milky way.ย To dispense the product, there is a small hole at the top and you just pour couple drops into the palm of your hands.
I love that they have a section where you can put the date when you opened the product!ย No brand has ever done this and I think it should be standard since most of us don’t remember the first day we open anything.
Texture/ Finish:
Although the consistency is watery, there is still a bit of oiliness to it which I personally enjoy.ย I wouldn’t recommend anyone with acne-prone or oily skin to use this since it would definitely be too heavy for you with almond oil being one of the ingredients.ย I love that it has a couple of my favorite ingredients in the formulation including ceramides, almond oil, green tea, and Panthenol all in this cocktail of beautifulness.ย
After it has been fully absorbed into my skin, it definitely feels more moisturized but it definitely can not be used without more serums and creams since my skin is that frinkin’ dry. I do notice there is a sheen and glow to my skin and it is definitely from the added pearl powder in the formula.
Paired with the oil in cream from the same line works amazingly well and I could almost survive the spring and summer with just those two products.
Fragrance?:
There is added fragrance in this product and I’m wondering if it is the Vanille listed at the bottom of the list.ย To me, the scent smells like fruity Japanese mango candy.ย Upon research into the ingredient list though, I’m guessing the fragrance is coming from the apple tree leave extract with all the flower extracts (jasmine and passionflower).ย Smell-o-scale 6/10 in terms of how strong the scent is and it does fade after application but could be a bit too strong for people with sensitive noses.
Pro:
-very hydrating
-some of my fav. ingredients added (ceramide, Panthenol, Niacinamide, Green tea)
-absorbs into the skin quickly
Con:
Nothing for me but it could be too hydrating for oily skin types
Repurchase?:
Maybe but it would be one of my highly recommended products to my friends and family!

Overall thoughts:
This might be a horrible thing to admit but when I’m shopping online for skincare, I don’t usually look into the ingredient list before buying.ย Why? Because sometimes the product is so new that I don’t have the ingredient list to rely on.ย All I usually have is the brief description which I’d have to rely on and hope it would all work out.ย Sometimes it works out, sometimes it doesn’t.ย In this case, it totally worked out and Missha killed it with this essence!ย It has all the best ingredients my dry skin could ask for at a decently affordable price (when it is on sale hehe).ย I’m really happy with how hydrating this essence is and would definitely give it a two thumbs up!
