B.live Deep impact deep pore cleansing & massage emulsion Review

Continuing on with the string of reviews I’ll be doing with this new skincare brand called B.liv, the second one will be yet another cleanser.  They just so happen to send me two cleansers and I honestly don’t mind since I’m on the hunt to find the best cleanser.  Honestly I don’t think there will be a “holy grail” cleanser since cleansers usually just cleanse your skin.  As long as it doesn’t strip my skin, make it tight in any way and doesn’t make my skin break out, it would get a good mark.  Any of those criteria not met, bye bye.  If you haven’t check out my first cleanser review from B.liv, click here!  In the first post, I also introduce who are B.liv and what their brand is all about.  Check that one out first before you read into this one, I think it would be helpful.  Let’s jump into the review!

HAHAHA I’m sorry but whoever does their skincare routine like what the girl does in the video (cleanser, some black charcoal product?, sheet mask over it and then misting your face)… you clearly need to read more beauty blogs or something.  Oh dear honey buns.

How to use:

Excuse my fingerprints, it is bound to happen especially since I have to slather Vaseline on my thumbs to hydrate them from eczema.  Eczema is the worst isn’t it! There is no cure for it and you can’t pin point exactly what you are allergic to.  UGH.  Then your skin gets SUPER dry, cracks, peels and itchy all at the same time while even being swollen.  GREAT. 
This is what the tube looks like.  There is a clear twist off cap if you are wondering.  Maybe I shouldn’t have used a white background… silly me HAHA. SO SMART CHRISTINA…. (^～^;)ゞ

Twist off and viola, a squeeze tube where the product comes out. Simple and straight forward.  Did I even have to description it?

Texture/ finish:
Unlike the first cleanser I used from the dry skin line (Drench me), this deep impact cleanser has a more milky, moisturizing texture to it and is definitely a lot more moisturizing.  The cleanser itself has a visibly creamier texture and not sure if you can see it, but if you look closely, there are little specks of jojoba beads.  Before I read the description of what it is, I was quite concerned to see these little beads.  Not sure if you guys are aware, but those little plastic beads in skincare products that are marketed to “exfoliate your skin gently”, are disgustingly harmful to the environment.  So harmful to the point that it is banned in Canada (and some other countries I believe) since it flushes into the sewage system and because the beads are so fine and small, they slip through the filtration system and back into the ocean.  Once it is back into the ocean, it is ingested by the fish and other organisms that live in the ocean, then back onto our dinner plate.  Bottom line, it is harming the environment and ecosystem and also us in the process so why use such useless additive in our skincare am I right?  I’m glad to know that the beads in this product is not plastic that does not break down over time, but natural jojoba oil beads that do melt into the skin once you massage it.
Once the cleanser is washed off of my face, my skin feels slightly more moisturized and softer as well.  Of course it isn’t so moisturized to the point where I won’t have to use moisturizer… don’t be absurd!  My skin doesn’t feel greasy at all so I can see every skin type being able to use this cleanser.  It is also nice that it exfoliates, slightly moisturizes and cleanses all in one.

Moisture level measurements:
I’m quite surprise myself to see these numbers.  I did the measurement with my moisture measuring tool twice just to make sure the numbers were right, but they are right!  Wow this cleanser is really moisturizing but sadly it isn’t recommended to be used more then twice a week.  Not sure if this would work with oily skin types since this could break you out.

pH levels:
This cleanser has a solid pH level of 5 meaning it is neutral, also good use for us human species since it also means it won’t irritate our skin.

Fragrance?:
I do not believe there is any added fragrance which I can appreciate.  There is a slight suncreen-ish, lotion smell but nothing intoxicating.  Smell-o-scale= 2/10 there, but not really.

Pro:
-moisturizing, non-stripping to the skin
-makes skin feel clean
-three in one product

Con:
-can only be bought in selected Asian countries or online (can’t try beforehand)

Repurchase?:
Maybe, it is definitely on my list of trusted cleansers if I need to repurchase in the future.

Overall thoughts:
Honestly I have no idea why this is under the pores line.  I didn’t see much change in my pores, but then again I don’t really have large pores.  The only pores I have to worry about is my blackheads.  I’ve tried everything and still can’t find a good routine to prevent the blackheads from appearing pretty much overnight.  Sigh… Anyways I do really like this cleanser and might be the closest to one to a holy grail status.  You shouldn’t use it everyday since it is only recommended to be used twice a week, so I guess you can’t really classify it to be a cleanser?  Slightly confused as to what it is but it is definitely a product you might want to check out if you are on the market for a “cleanser emulsion” (let’s just call it that).  No miracles happened for me with this cleanser and I don’t expect any cleansers to have any magical powers.  I do appreciate it didn’t strip my skin.  In fact it kind of added a bit more moisture while cleansing!  If you catch B.liv having a sale of some sort, definitely check this product out.  This cleanser seems to also comes in a set with their famous “off with those heads” serum (which I will be reviewing too!) along with a “absolute matte” sheet mask for $55.
