Okay, for some reason, I’ve remembered this toner to be a propolis toner.ย I mean it does have propolis in it but it isn’t the key ingredient.ย Maybe because it was released close to the time when By wishtrend released their Polyphenols in Propolis 15% ampoule?ย Who knows but I am finally writing a review for the quad active boosting essence.ย It is said to contain their Quad Active ingredients which consist of Morus Alba Bark Extract, Nelumbo Nucifera Leaf Extract, Schisandra Chinensis Fruit Extract), Salix Alba (Willow) Bark Extract, Centaurea Cyanus Flower Water, and Propolis.ย All these ingredients are said to help with anti-inflammatory, anti-pollution and anti-bacterial effects due to the propolis.

How to use:
Apply 3-4 drops on your palm and gently pat over the face. Pat lightly until it fully absorbs.
Product packaging:
This essence comes in a gorgeous colored glass bottle.ย For $23, I’m actually surprised it is actually glass.ย The packaging definitely makes it feel and look more expensive than the price tag.
The product dispenses out of this simple dropper stopper to prevent the essence from spilling out.
Texture/ Finish + effects/ results:
This is a watery essence that absorbs into my dry skin very quickly.ย It doesn’t leave much of a residue or glow for my skin type but I feel like it would work better for those who have normal, combo, or oily skin types.ย Those who have been struggling to find a propolis product that isn’t too heavy, this product would be for you.ย From looking at the ingredients list, it doesn’t seem like propolis is high on the list anyways as water, Willow Bark extract, and Centaurea Cyanus Flower is ranked the first three ingredients.
To be honest, I didn’t see much improvement in my dry skin.ย The majority of my days with my dry skin, I’m looking for products to maintain moisture levels, try to keep my blackheads at bay and keep my sensitive cheeks from getting more red.ย This is a decent product but it really just didn’t do much for me.ย It absorbed into my skin with no noticeable hydrating or dew :S.
Fragrance?:
There’s a slight honey scent but it is super faint.ย Smell-o-scale: 3/10 in terms of how strong the scent is.
Pro:
-lightweight texture
-absorbs quickly
Con:
-didn’t leave me with much moisture
-saw no significant results
Repurchase?:

Overall thoughts:
I really don’t think this is a bad product, it just didn’t work for my dry skin.ย I saw no significant improvements with my skin and it really didn’t hydrate my skin much.ย Essences in my experiences are way more hydrating and have more potent ingredients that are almost used as a treatment.ย If this product was called a toner, it would be more understandable if it preformed as basic as this.ย Overall I think this would work better for those with normal to oily skin type, just not dry skin types like me.
