Elizavecca milky piggy glutinous mask snail cream Review

Elizavecca glutinous mask snail cream reviewElizavecca has always been a brand I have been familiar with ever since I started my journey into K-beauty.  I remember seeing the bubbling clay mask years ago, way before it exploded on Youtube as being one of those “WTF” type of videos.  Their packaging is always on point and cute with a Miss Piggy plastered all over their packaging.  Couple months back, they were looking for some overseas bloggers to promote their products and of course, I had to jump on the opportunity.  They sent me a couple of items, with this glutinous mask snail cream being one of them.  So I’ll be taking the time to review this moisturizer today so let’s go! (≧∇≦)/

Elizavecca glutinous mask snail creamProduct packaging:
Packaging has always been one of Elizavecca’s upper hand with their cute piggy mascot.  All, if not most of their products has the piggy somewhere on the packaging and this time, Miss Piggy is riding the express snail train haha.  The box that it comes in, the attention to detail is unreal which makes me almost not want to recycle the box.

Elizavecca glutinous mask snail creamAfter the exploded popularity of their bubble mask, there has been fakes in the market so to make sure you guys aren’t buying fakes, they have a scratch off sticker that has a serial number which you can go onto their website to check if it is the real deal or not.

Elizavecca glutinous mask snail creamThe product itself comes in a plastic jar with the cute graphics all around the jar and on the lid as well which I really appreciate since I can still enjoy it while ti is sitting in my cabinet.  Except for the name on the front, everything else is in Korean.

Elizavecca glutinous mask snail creamInside the jar, there is a spatula that is included and also a built in spot that will hold it in place.  The lid isn’t one of those flimsy ones but one that actually shuts tight and takes a bit of effort to open which I appreciate since I know when I screw the lid off, I won’t have product spilling out.

Elizavecca glutinous mask snail creamTexture/ Finish:
If you have had experiences with snail creams in the past, then you would know what the texture is like with this cream.  It has that mozzarella texture that is stringy and it takes a little bit longer for this specific moisturizer to absorb into the skin.  After it is absorbed into the skin, it leaves a slight glow to my face which is something I really enjoy.

Moisture level measurements:When I’m using this moisturizer, I usually like to layer it with some type of hydrating essence or serum since I personally don’t find it to be moisturizing enough to use just by itself.  I think for me, this would be a cream better suited for spring and summer or just when it isn’t -8 degrees outside and the heater blasting all day.

pH level:
This moisturizer has a pH level of 5, meaning it is the closest pH to human skin and most likely won’t irritate or dry out your skin.

The moisturizer has a slight floral, sweet milk scent but it isn’t something that is super strong.  After application, the scent disappears and doesn’t linger.  Smell-o-scale= 4/10 in terms of the strength of the scent.

-moisturizing enough for dry skin (best during times not so chilly for me personally)
-feels like it is protecting my skin
-skin feels soft afterward

-takes a longer period of time to fully absorb into skin

Stars given out of 5:

Overall thoughts:
I do really like this moisturizer and definitely a solid moisturizer but not moisturizing enough for me at the moment with it being -8 degrees outdoors and I also already have super dry skin to begin with.  I think this moisturizer would suit those with normal to dry skin.  I will continue to use this but I will use it during the spring and summer time when my skin isn’t so dry.  I personally didn’t notice any “whitening” effects since I’m already Casper the ghost.  I also can’t comment on wrinkles since I don’t really have any.  Overall this is a solid product and I recommend you guys check it out if you are in the market for a good snail cream.
