Autumn is now officially here with Halloween just around the corner. Halloween candy, pumpkin spiced latte and sweater weather, this month’s Etude House pink bird box has nothing to do with any of that HAHA. I don’t know where I was going with my intro ╰( ･ ᗜ ･ )╯, but this month’s box includes their upgraded versions of their already popular moistful skincare line, ze moistful collagen because we all can use a little bit more collagen in our life. They also released a new BB cream called “Etude House precious mineral BB cream Cover & bright fit” (wow that is a mouth full) which is suppose to give a “flawless coverage” while “brightening the skin.” Cut to the chase and let’s get started! I’m really bad with intros hehe….
Etude House’s pink bird box is a monthly box that is sent to select bloggers all around the world to showcase their awesome products to readers around the globe. Sadly these curated boxes are not for sale but I will be included links to Etude House’s global website so it will save you some time.
Like always, the boxes that they come in are always hot pink. It is always fun to receive these in the mail, it just brightens up my day (๑♡⌓♡๑). Inside is a folder with promotional pictures that briefly explains the products inside, the products itself and of course some bubble wrap and shredded paper for padding.
This month, we got two sets of their new moistful collagen, tons of samples of the moistful collagen moisturizer and a full size of the new BB cream. So excited for the BB cream!!! AHHH…

These are so cute!! I didn’t use to like using miniature products, but getting them all the time from online hauls and relaying on the samples to see if I want to purchase full size of oversea products really helps. I fell in love with Holika Holika ceramide moisturizer that way and have not yet purchased the full sized it since I have tons and tons of moisturizers from my past Memeboxes but I might have to soon since my skin gets really dry during the winter time. I’m hoping this moistful collagen line could work for me since I have heard nothing but good things about the moistful line from vloggers and bloggers around the world.
I actually don’t believe I have had a proper toners for a long long time. I’ve just been using Bioderma for the longest time since it is like double cleansing my skin and getting rid of leftover make up. You use a toner right after cleansing your skin to prep your skin for the absorption of a moisturizer. Toners also get rid of the leftover dirt that you couldn’t get from your cleanser!

As you can see the toner is very watery, but slightly thicker than water. Use this with a cotton pad to wipe away leftover dirt on your face after cleansing.
After the toner, next step is essence. Essence is usually used for targeted skin concerns, in this case it is used for the ultimate hydration boost!

Essences are usually lighter weight then the rest of the skincare line, so always use products from lightest to heaviest when layering. This essence from Etude House absorbed into the skin quickly and easily with no fuss.
Third step is emulsion. This step gives your skin that extra layer of protection and moisture so it can help the skin retain hydration throughout the day and night. Drink skin, DRINK!!!

This one comes in a milky formula and is slightly thicker then the serum, also absorbs with no problem.
Last step of course is the moisturizer, or “cream” has Koreans light to call it. For me since I have dry skin, I usually like to pick the heavier creams. I’m not sure if this moisturizer will work for me during the winter, fall and spring. This would work for me in the summer since I’m slightly oily then but for the rest of the 9 months in Vancouver, this might not work for me. We’ll have to see if the layering will help but I highly doubt it. I think I would need their “deep cream” version instead.

This moisturizer is very lightweight, gel formula and also absorbs into the skin easily. I would say this would work for those that have oily skin, not really for those that have dry skin like me.
The last product is their new BB cream which made me jump up and down (literally) when I saw a picture of another pink bird blogger on Instagram’s picture of the box and it had this product in it. I think Etude House’s email forgot to state that we were also getting this in the mail since there was no promo picture in the email or in the text of the email, so it was definitely a happy surprise. Couple of products that gets me excited are BB creams, BB cushions, and blushes. I’m not much of a lip product person since I’m still shy to wear bold lip colours but BB creams or cushions? You got me, you got me.

I won’t go into too much details of this product since I’m going to do a first impression post right after this one so bare with me. This BB cream retails for $12.40 USD on their website and is suppose to brighten skin without darkening, flawless coverage, and suppose to have a close adherence to the skin for a long lasting effect.
