How to use:
After cleansing, prep the skin with the toner. Dispense an appropriate amount at the essence stage and apply it over your face evenly. Finish with a moisturizer once it’s fully absorbed.

Product packaging:
When I first got my hands on the bottle, I was actually kind of surprised it was a little smaller then I imagined.  It isn’t crazy small but then again, little goes a long way.  The bottle is glass so be careful if you are traveling with it.

As for the lid, you just pop it off, and inside is a pump (thank god!).  I do find the pump to be a little hard to control.  I use about two pumps for my whole face and it does the job fantastically!

Texture/ Finish + effects:
This is one of the most unique serums I have come across.  The texture is like a very thick gel mixed with honey and it melts into your skin easily but there is a bit of greasiness/ dewiness.  Some people might not like the feeling, but my dry skin and I love that shield!  With just this serum all over my face, my skin is so beautifully glowly, its magically!!  I could just wear this serum alone for my morning routine and be satisfied with how my skin looks.
I don’t find it calming my redness down like the honey mask from the brand but it is a great distant cousin that does just as good of a job in the hydration department.

There is a floral/ honey scent to it and some might find this irritating to smell but I am okay with it.  It isn’t that sickeningly artificial honey scent in Skinfood’s propolis foundation that almost killed my nostrils, but more of a mild and acceptable honey scent.  Smell-o-scale: 7/10 in terms of how strong the scent is and it does fade after application.

-super hydrating
-beautiful dewy/ glowy finish
-great layering serum during the winter

-scent could be a little less strong or just get rid of it completely
-pump is a little hard to control

Stars given out of 5:

Overall thoughts:
I think this is a beautiful serum and one of the top five most hydrating serums I have tried by far.  The only thing I have to nitpick about is the strong scent that some people will definitely have an issue with.  Other than that, this serum didn’t disappoint and I actually prefer the serum over the cream from the line.  Overall I give these two thumbs up and get it IF you enjoy thick, dewy, glossy serums.  But if you don’t, you may find this too heavy or greasy.  You have been warned!
