Continuing on with trying Melomeli products, their lipsticks was another product that they gifted me to test out.ย I was iffy about testing out matte lipsticks since my lips are always super dry, but these definitely surprised me.ย Like their lip tints, the color range is quite nice and isn’t just all red.ย Let’s dive into parts unknown with this brand that I really haven’t heard about, shall we?

Product packaging:
Packaging really reminds me of the Shu Uemura lipsticks that have the same clear dome and the plastic bottom.ย I do like the clear lids since you can see into the tube and see which shade you are grabbing.ย On the bottom of the label, everything is in Korean including the name, so you don’t really have the names in English.ย They do have the names in English which is odd.ย The lid can be just popped off and popped back on securely.ย As for the lipstick bullet, it is pushed up with just the traditional twisting motion.
Colour/ pigmentation:
Pigmentation for these lipsticks is on point!ย When I heard that these were matte, I was so scared it was those matte formulas where it feels so dry on your lips that it practically skips when you are applying it.ย These swipe like a dream and with just one swipe, you get full pigmentation.
01 Finn: Cool tone red with slight hints of an orange undertone
If this red was two shades darker, it would have been my ideal red.ย Nonetheless, this is a super pretty bright cool toned red that I’d easily pull off with my cool tone skin color.
02 Chloe: Warm tone orange with hints of a red undertone
This orange is the perfect orange for the summer time.ย I imagine wearing this orange shade and having those fruit hair decorations HAHA.ย What on earth… hey colors bring out moods and my mood is to have fruits on the top of my head.
03 Archie: Warm tone strawberry milkshake shade
Hmm this is a pink that I don’t think I’d be able to pull off with my cool skin tone.ย Because this is a warm pink, it sometimes just looks a little off on me :/.ย This shade is a pass for me personally but it’d be a good mixing shade!
04 Izzy: Muted hot pink with slight fuchsia undertones
Another shade I wish I was sassy and queen enough to rock but this one is just a shade I can’t personally pull off.ย The color is gorgeous but too Barbie pink for me :'(.ย Pigmentation is amazing though!
05 Rae: Warm reddish orange brown shade
This shade could have been wearable for me but it is slightly too orange for my skin tone.ย It would be a great fall shade that isn’t too dark though!
Texture/ Finish:
Like I said up above, although this is supposed to be a matte but it was surprisingly moisturizing.ย If you are a purest matte lip, you might not call this a “real” matte since it doesn’t dry down to a matte look but this is the perfect medium for me.ย No shimmers, no glitters, just pure color.
Lasting power:
This does transfer and wears like a normal lipstick, so don’t be kissing all em boys aight? These lipsticks will transfer on cups and will shift if you accidentally smear your lips, so you have been warned.ย They don’t stain so if you’re looking for a tint, maybe check out their lip tints instead!ย Average lasting power about 2-3 hours before you have to reapply unless you eat then that obviously shortens.
Fragrance?:
These smell a hella lot better than the lip tints that smells like cherry flavored medicine.ย The matte lipsticks has a pleasant sweet mango candy scent and the fragrance faints away after application.ย Smell-o-scale: 6/10 in terms of how strong the scent is.

Overall thoughts:
These were super pigmented and easy to apply.ย The packaging is super cute and the clear lid is super functional which is nice.ย Overall I really liked these and would highly recommend you guys check these out!ย I wish this was the scent that was in the lip tints and not that gross cherry scent haha.ย Two thumbs up to these lipsticks!
