Skin1004 madagascar centella tone brightening capsule ampoule review

Skin1004 Madegascar centella tone brightening capsule ampoule reviewAlthough I don’t have a stand-only review for their famous Skin1004 Centella ampoule, I do have a short blurb here if you do want to check it out.ย  Centella products usually are very light and ineffective for me, but Skin1004’s Centella ampoule was beautifully made and sold at a very affordable price.ย  The brand has been on my radar for a while and I’m always looking forward to testing more out from the brand.ย  Continuing my love for the brand’s Centella products, I got my hands on their Madagascar Centella tone brightening capsule ampoule, hoping it will be just as good as the original, if not better.ย  Let’s get into the review and see if this is worth it or not!

Skin1004 madagascar centella tone brightening capsule ampoule reviewProduct packaging:
The glass bottle is exactly the same as the original, with the same dropper system.ย  I personally really like the design of the whole brand.ย  It seems sophisticated and minimal.

Skin1004 madagascar centella tone brightening capule ampoule reviewTexture +results:
The website says this is “a fast-absorbing ampoule that will provide you with clear and brightened skin,”ย  using ingredients like niacinamide, tranexamic acid, and 3-O-Ethyl ascorbic acid.ย  Oddly enough, my skin didn’t burn from the vitamin C, but it might just be because it is a vitamin C derivative?ย  Or it could be from a low dosage of vitamin C.ย  I do like the fact that they use a lot of Centella and madecassoside in this version, however, I didn’t find it to be as calming and soothing as the original.

Skin1004 madagascar centella tone brightening capsule ampoule reviewThe texture is also about the same as the original, almost like a thicker serum that absorbs into the skin relatively quickly.ย  I personally am not a huge fan of the little beads.ย  They do meltdown, however, it takes a while for them to be massaged into the skin.

Skin1004 madagascar centella tone brightening capsule ampoule reviewYour skin is left with a decent amount of hydration, softened and somewhat tacky at first but then absorbs down to a slightly dewy finish on my dry skin.ย  There is no apparent calming or soothing effect to the skin either.

Fragrance:
There is a very earthy green scent to it.ย  To me, it smells a bit like a red bean (adzuki beans) and the scent does not linger after application.ย  Smell-o-scale: 6/10 in terms of how strong the scent is.

Pro:
-vitamin C doesn’t burn my skin
-delivers a decent amount of hydration

Con:
-smells a bit too earthy
-not as calming and soothing

Repurchase?:
No

Overall thoughts:
I don’t think this version is horrible, but it isn’t something I gravitate to much. It s a meh product in my book and if I want something to brighten my complexion, I have many other options I can choose from.ย  I do enjoy that there is vitamin C and how it doesn’t burn, but being at the end of the list, I don’t find it all that effective. Overall it wasn’t a shabby product, yet not stellar enough for me to recommend to you guys.
