I usually don’t care too much for sheet masks, mostly because I’m too lazy to use it but I also have a slight fear of foiled packaging.ย I don’t know why but I don’t like opening foil packets.ย Foil packet samples and sheet masks always just sit in my vanity, waiting to be used.ย Recently, Mothermade had a tester event and I ended up getting chosen as one of the testers. Lucky me since I’ve been trying to find a snail sheet mask replacement for the Cosrx one that I fell in love with long ago.ย Unfortunately, the Cosrx one got discontinued and I never came across another snail mask I liked.ย Fate (or should I say Mothermade) has brought me to this mask which I don’t think it is brand new since they have the same snail mask on their Korean website, so I’m guessing it is just a repackage targetted towards the Western market.

These sheet masks come in a box of 10, housed inside this cardboard box.ย With so much English on the packaging, I would have mistaken this to be a Western brand but it is most definitely a Korean brand since they have a domestic Korean website.ย A lot of brands these days claim to be K-beauty, only for you to find out they are made in Korea but only sold in North America.ย
Not only does this sheet mask has snail secretion, there is also hyaluronic acid and ceramides, two loved ingredients for super dry skin people like me!
And of course, the sheet mask comes in single packaging inside foil packages *cringe*.ย I’m waiting for the day when K-beauty comes in boxes of 30 like J-beauty.ย I have seen some brand carrying, but it isn’t as common as I would like it to be.
In terms of my skin concerns, I try to find products to moisturize my super dry skin, aid in my slightly sensitive cheeks that cause redness and brighten my dull complexion.ย I do find the redness around my cheeks go away after using a chilled product, which is why I like to stick my masks in the fridge.

Mask fit:
I really like the cupra cotton material that this mask is made of.ย It is super soft on the skin, hugs my face well without sliding off too!ย The only gripe I have with the mask is that there is no nose slit!ย You can easily fix that with a pair of scissors but just a heads up if they ever want to revise the fit ;).
Texture of essence:
To my surprise, the essence isn’t as sticky and stringy as I imagined.ย Usually, snail secretion is very stringy like mozzarella but this one is perfect for anyone that wants to dip their toes in gently and non-offensively.ย Even after 15 minutes, the sheet mask was still moist and I had to rub it all over my body!ย No waste remember!!ย After it absorbed into my skin, it had the perfect amount of moisture while not being greasy or heavy.ย I almost forgot to put on moisturizer after I let it sit on my skin while blowdrying my face.ย That is when I know it is a sheet mask that is worth your money!ย
This is what my skin look like after the sheet mask.ย My skin feels hydrated and happy. Excuse my complexion, my skin is lowkey freaking out because I’ve been having a shitty diet for the past 3 months.

Overall thoughts:
I do really like this snail mask and I’m honestly not surprised I like it skin snail secretion always works wonders for not only my skin, but for all skin type.ย It has been prized for its hydration abilities alongside its miracle anti-aging properties.ย Do I think this is a close second to Cosrx’s discontinued snail mask.ย Overall I think this mask would work on all skin types since it is lightweight but super hydrating.ย Two thumbs up and I give you the green light to purchase!
