To be frank, Tony Moly isn’t one of the brands I care too much about or pay attention to.ย I find their products more geared towards teenagers and the cheap, cutesy packaging is a bit of a turn off.ย The last Jolse haul I did, there really weren’t many products I was interested in since they held back on stocking up newer products due to the virus. To find inspiration, I turned to Glowpick and saw at the time, Tony Moly’s mochi toner was trending in Korea.ย The toner wasn’t too expensive, but this kit was the same price as the full size toner.ย So I ended up getting this kit which had four of Tony Moly’s best seller.ย Maybe some of these products will change my mind about Tony Moly as a brand.ย Let’s jump in.
If you are able to catch Tony moly on brand sale at Jolse, you can get this whole set for $15.99, whereas the full size 500 mL toner is $14.06.ย The toner in this kit is a decent size and would take me 3 months to finish.

Purified water, dipropylene glycol, glycerin, pentaerythrityltetraisostearate, glyceeth-26, 1,2-hexanediol, macadamia seed oil, phenyl trimethicone, hydroxyethyl acrylate/sodium acryloyl Dimethyl taurate copolymer, styrene/VP copolymer, ethylhexyl glycerin, centella asiatica extract, acrylate/C10-30 alkyl acrylate crosspolymer, tromethamine, caprylic/capric triglyceride, allantoin, hydro Genetized Lecithin, Propanediol, Panthenol, Phytosteryl/Octyldodecyluroyl Glutamate, Ceramide NP (5,000ppb), Sodium Hyaluronate, Rosewood Oil, Lemon Peel Oil, Disodium IDTA, Linalul , Limonene
How to use:
After cleansing, soak a cotton pad with the toner and sweep over your face.ย You can also just pat it into the skin without a cotton pad, which I do to save product and not wasting a cotton pad.ย You can also use it as a face mist by transferring the mochi toner into a spray bottle and spritz throughout the day as needed.
The toner comes in a hard plastic packaging with a simple hole to dispense it.
Texture/ finish:
This toner is watery but has a bit of creamyness to it.ย It actually reminds me of Laneige’s cream skin, but I think this one is a little bit thicker and slightly more hydrating.ย There are ceramides, hyaluronic acid, Centella to hydrate and soothe the skin while Pantheol repairs and relieves inflammation.ย Once the toner absorbs into the skin, it instantly feels more supple, soft, and hydrated, kind of like how the name implies.ย The Japanese has a saying “mochi mochi” meaning soft and bouncy, which definitely represents this toner well.ย It is super lightweight with no heavy finish or greasy finish. The ceramides, hyaluronic acid and Centella just do a fantastic job at keeping my skin moist.
Fragrance?:
There’s a hint of a citrus scent coming from the Lemon peel oil, smell-o-scale: 3/10 in terms of how strong the scent is and it does fade after application.
Pro:
-super moist
-fast absorbing
-long lasting hydration
-skin left feeling supple
Con:
Nothing ๐

Overall thoughts:
The netizens were right about this toner and I’m kind of sad they are ranked 14th on the overall toner ranking on Glowpick at the moment.ย For the price and amount you get, dare I say it is a step up from my Naturie skin conditioner?ย It’s super lightweight, hydrating, and has all the ingredients that I love.ย My skin is left with this supple and soft texture and layers with other products well.ย I highly recommend you check out this product if you are in the market for a toner.

Snail Secretion Filtrate, Glycerin, Propanediol, Alcohol Denat., Sodium Hyaluronate, Niacinamide, Gold, Opuntia Coccinellifera Fruit Extract, Cinnamomum Camphora (Camphor) Leaf Extract, rh-Polypeptide-22, Centella Asiatica (Gotu Kola) Extract, Camellia Japonica Flower Extract, Camellia Sinensis (Green Tea) Leaf Extract, Citrus Unshiu (Satsuma Mandarin) Extract, Gardenia Jasminoides (Gardenia) Fruit Extract, Ficus Carica (Fig) Fruit Extract, Cyclopentasiloxane, Bis-PEG-18 Methyl Ether Dimethyl Silane, Cetyl Ethylhexanoate, Hydrogenated Vegetable Oil, Stearic Acid, Tromethamine, Vegetable Oil, Acrylates/C10-30 Alkyl Acrylate Crosspolymer, Carbomer, Dimethicone/Vinyl Dimethicone Crosspolymer, Dimethicone, Phenyl Trimethicone, Citrus Limon (Lemon) Peel Oil, Adenosine, Citrus Aurantium Bergamia (Bergamot) Fruit Oil, Citrus Aurantium Dulcis (Orange) Peel Oil, Citrus Aurantifolia (Lime) Oil, Pinus Sylvestris (Scot’s Pine) Leaf Oil, Eucalyptus Globulus (Eucalyptus) Leaf Oil, Water, Butylene Glycol, Disodium EDTA, Phenoxyethanol, Ethylhexylglycerin, Chlorphenesin, Caprylyl Glycol, 1,2-Hexanediol
How to use:
After cleansing and toning the skin, apply this essence after serum if you are using one and massage into the skin.
Since this is a sample size of sorts, it does come in this tube packaging with a twist off cap.ย Nothing to write home about, but I hate photographing metallic packaging like this.
Texture/ Finish:
The texture of this “prestige” snail essence isn’t as sticky and goopy as other snail essences I use and there are little gold flakes in it, which I find it kind of unnecessary.ย I also don’t find it to be as hydrating as something like Cosrx’s snail mucin, and also dries down to nothing spectacular.ย It is really just meh.
Fragrance?:
There is a bit of a floral fragrance to it and it does linger after application.ย This is another reason why I can’t get into Tony Moly, cheap packaging, and overly fragranced products.ย Smell-o-scale: 6/10 in terms of how strong the scent is.
Pro:
-lightweight with no “film” residue
Con:
-too underwhelming, especially for the higher price tag
-unnecessary gold flakes
Repurchase?:
Nope.

Overall thoughts:
This snail essence is super unmemorable and very passable in my book.ย For the unjustified higher price tag of snail mucin-focused product, it is so underwhelming and can’t even deliver the same amount of results as something like the Cosrx snail essence which retails for $16.ย It is just so MEH.ย Pass……

Ingredients:

How to use:
Shake well before using.ย Apply onto cotton pad and gently sweep over skin.ย I would recommend to not think of this as an easy way out of cleansing your skin even though it is called “no wash”.ย Use it before you use your cleanser or after you have double cleansed, just to make sure you got rid of every trace of make up, but make sure to rinse afterwards.
Texture/ Finish:
Texture is just like any other micellar water, it is water LOL.ย Micellar water is a combination of purified water, hydrating ingredients, and mild surfactants to remove make up.ย I personally don’t find it to be strong enough to remove waterproof make up, so I’d still have to use my oil based make up remover for that.ย I only really use cleansing water after I have double cleansed, just to make sure I got everything but rinsing my face afterwards, before moisturizing.ย This cleansing water is fine, nothing spectacular and it doesn’t dry my skin out.ย Its meh but passable.
Fragrance?:
There is a light citrus green tea scent to it and does fade after application.ย Smell-o-scale: 5/10 in terms of how strong the scent is.
Pro:
-effectively removes make up
-doesn’t dry my skin out
Con:
-nothing spectular

Overall thoughts:
This is an okay passable product but then again, I don’t use cleansing waters that much these days.ย I much prefer cleansing oils or balms which can remove my waterproof eyeliner and mascara all in one go, and is much more eco friendly.ย Overall this cleansing oil is alright, but nothing to write home about either.

Texture/ Finish:
Despite the name, this moisturizer isn’t watery at all.ย It is relatively creamy but still lightweight.ย It absorbs into the skin quickly and leaves my skin somewhat moisturized.ย Its again, another meh product that gets a hyped up description but I find it does nothing other than give me a light layer of moisture.
Fragrance?:
There is a citrus green tea scent and does linger after application.ย Smell-o-scale: 7/10 in terms of how strong the scent is.

Overall thoughts:
Another meh product that does just the bare minimum.ย It gives my skin light hydration but will do nothing for me in the winter time.ย This moisturizer is built better for those with combo or oily skin types.ย The scent is too strong for my liking and sticks around after application:S.ย Overall it is super meh and bland, definitely not a product I recommend.
________________________________
Out of the four products I got to try in the kit, the only stand-out product and the one I reached for the most is the Ceramide mochi toner.ย The mochi toner is effective, moisturizing, and packed full of all the ingredients I love.ย The other three, are so boring, so smelly, so basic.ย Get the toner, take my advice ;).
