I remember the first time I tried out Romand’s lip tints, but that was a while ago.ย Nowadays, they seem to have exploded in popularity and are best known for their lip tints.ย Heck, they even have multiple, if not a dozen types of lip tints to choose from. So to update my knowledge and experiences with them, I thought I would give almost every type of lip tint texture they offer and write a comprehensive review on Romand lip tints.ย From light, water color-looking lip tints to velvet lip tints, I’m going to test them all for you!ย Let’s get into the review.
One of my top complaints when it comes to Korean lip tints are those that look like you smeared highlighter on your lips.ย I’ve BEEN complaining about it since 2016, and it does seem like the majority of brands have improved on that ever since.ย There are some of those watery lip tints with a very neon base still floating around, but brands like Rom&nd and Moonshot have changed it up.ย Personally, I prefer a more juicy, dewy-looking lip, however, there are times when I want a more matte/ velvet lip.ย ย

Product packaging:
I have to say, the packaging for their blur fudge tint is STUNNING.ย It comes in a squared-off tube, with a mattified finish that reminds me a lot of Nars packaging.ย Each shade comes in the corresponding colour, which makes it so much easy to identify on your vanity.ย The mattified finish does attract oils and fingerprints, however, it isn’t super apparent.ย The doe foot applicator comes in a standard shape with a 30 degree angle.
Colour/ pigmentation:
#01 pomeloco wasn’t actually my first choice, #06 Mauvish was but it was out of stock by the time I went to check out :’).
#01 pomeloco: warm tone dusty coral with rose undertone (velvet finish)
Out of their velvet formulas, their blur fudge tint isn’t as heavy in pigmentation.ย Some might be disappointed, however, I almost prefer it in a weird sense.ย ย
You get a gorgeous colour on your lip, however, it doesn’t make you look overdone or heavy.ย This also could also be just the shade I chose, but it was easy to blend out and could be used as a gradient lip as well. I do enjoy this shade against my yellow skintone and I can see myself using it on the days I want to feel more youthful and fresh.
Texture/ Finish:
The texture is just like the name suggests, velvety.ย It is easy to blend out, still moisturizing on the lips and just feels so soft.ย There also is a sense of lightness to it and feels a bit like marshmallows when you smack your lips together.
Lasting power:
This will transfer if you eat something or kiss someone.ย You will have to reapply for the full-colour saturation, however, it does stain your lips since… its a lip tint LOL.
Fragrance?:
There is a subtle vanilla scent to it and it smells exactly like Mac lipsticks!! Smell-o-scale: 5/10 in terms of how strong the scent is and it does fade after application.
Pro:
-soft in texture
-pigmented with one swipe
-blendable
-not drying on the lips
Con:
-does transfer
Repurchase?:
Yes!ย I still want the mauvish shade.

Product packaging:
Similar to the blur fudge tint, the Romand dewy-ful water tint comes in the same square tube.ย Instead of it being a mattified tube though, the dewy-ful comes in a shiny plastic finish to help differentiate the two versions.ย The applicator is different from the blur fudge tint.ย It is more of a straight and flexible applicator
Colour/ pigmentation:
I wanted to be a bit more diverse, hence why I choose #4 chili up.ย The swatches, it looked very interesting in terms of color composition.ย At first glance, it looks like your typical red shade.ย However, if you look closer, there is an orange undertone.ย I could also be pulling this out of my ass or it is a woman thing. We can tell the difference between colors and men just things it’s orange LOL.
Romand dewy-ful water tint #4 chili up: Semi-dark red with orange undertones (dewy/ glossy finish)
Texture/ Finish:
Clearly, when I applied this lip tint, I wasn’t wearing my glasses because it isn’t even at all.ย Please ignore that.ย The finish of the Romand dewy-ful water tint is this gorgeous glossy but not like you drooled all over your lip type of look.ย It reminds me of the 2000’s lip gloss trend but is more wearable and tasteful.ย It is glossy/ dewy, light on the lips, and isn’t sticky whatsoever.
Lasting power:
The dewy finish does die down after 2 hours or so.ย Reapplication is easy and has no patchiness whatsoever.ย This does stain your lips a little bit and still gives you that glowy lip look even if you just put on some lip balm afterward.ย It’s quite nice if I do say so myself.
Fragrance?:
No fragrance was detected.
Pro:
-gorgeous dewy finish
-hydrating
-pigmented
-looks natural on the lip still
Con:
No complaints

Product packaging:
Romand zero velvet tint baked series comes in your standard circular tube with a mattified frost finish to it.ย The lip is colored to correspond to the shade you have to choose.ย The doe foot applicator also comes in the standard shape and size.
Colour/ pigmentation:
Compared to the Romand blur fudge tint, this line seems to be more pigmented.ย Then again, I’m not too sure if it is because of the shade I choose being darker or not.ย Take this observation with a grain of salt.
Romand zero velvet tint baked series #15 rusk rusk: Warm burnt orange shade with a brick red undertoneย
Texture/ Finish:
The texture is pretty much the same as the blue fudge tint.ย It has the same marshmallow/ velvet touch to it and blends out gorgeously.ย Rusk rusk is much more brighter and pigmented (obviously), with both feeling very comfortable on the lips and still feeling light too.
Lasting power:
Rusk rusk seems to last a little longer than the Romand blur fudge tint.ย It does transfer, so be careful of your white clothes!ย The pigmentation fades evenly and it lasts about 2-3 hours of wear, leaving behind a tinted lip look in the end.
Fragrance?:
There is a fruity, slightly floral scent to it.ย The fragrance isn’t strong, 6/10 on my smell-o-scale and it does fade after application.
Pro:
-super pigmented
-not drying
-light on the lips
Con:
Will stain your skin if you accidentally draw outside the designation lip line, unless that is the look you are going for.

Compared to their other lip tint packaging, these seem a little underwhelming.ย They come in a solid-colored tube, the same color as the corresponding lip shade.ย The applicator is your standard doe foot applicator.
Colour/ pigmentation:
Sadly, this line from Romand has that neon/ highlighter look I was talking about.ย Out of the four shades available in this formula, I chose #17 plum coke which I thought would be perfect for the fall/ holiday time.
Romand juicy lasting tint sparking #17 plum coke: Warm tone true red grape shade
Texture/ Finish:
Texture-wise, this is very similar, if not the same as the dewy-ful line.ย It is very hydrating, and juicy looking on the lips and the color is gorgeously pigmented.ย There also doesn’t seem to be severe patchiness or streaking.ย Honestly, no one is going to look this close to your lips in real life anyways.ย The formula sits on the lip so gorgeously and fills in every little wrinkle/ line so well.
Lasting power:
This formula will transfer and it lasted me about 2 hours.ย The glossiness wore off around the 1.5-hour mark, but maybe that is because my lips are super dry.ย Reapplication is easy and your lips are left with a nice tinted effect.
Fragrance?:
My plum coke smells exactly like Japanese grape-flavored candies!ย Smell-o-scale: 6/10 in terms of how strong the scent is and it does fade after application.
Pro:
-super hydrating
-formula fills in every lip line
-light on the lips
-not sticky
Con:
I wish this line had a better color selection and didn’t have that neon-based look to it.
Repurchase?:
Not from this line.

Just like the Romand juicy lasting tint, this has the same one-tone colored tube.ย The applicator is the same doe foot applicator as well.
Colour/ pigmentation:
I have to say, this is my FAVOURITE shade out of all the ones I’ve chosen.ย Yes, I can say it is a boring shade.ย But it is the best MLBB shade that is a no-brainer and will go with every look and mood.ย Going for a no makeup day? Slap this on and you’re good to go.ย Even though it is the lightest shade of the whole line, it is still pigmented as heck!!
Romand juicy lasting tint bare juicy #22 pomelo skin: Beige nude shade with a pink undertone
I know it doesn’t look like much in the picture, but it does even out my lips in real life while giving me hydration and a dewy finish!
Texture/ Finish:
Compared to the other two dewy finish lip formulas, this one is slightly thinner and less glossy on the lips.ย It isn’t as severe when it comes to the glossiness but is still hydrating.
Lasting power:
I have to admit, the lasting power of this version isn’t as long.ย The dewiness fade after an hour, which is disheartening.
Fragrance?:
This one smells like a cross between grapefruit and Japanese grape candy.ย Smell-o-scale: 6/10 in terms of how strong the scent is and it does fade after application.
Pro:
-gorgeous MLBB shade
-hydrating
-light on the lips
Con:
-doesn’t last long
-color fades relatively quickly but it still evens out my lips after fading
Repurchase?:
Heck yes and I got to check out the other shades too!

——————————————-
After testing out five lines in Romand lip tint lines, I have to say I prefer the Romand zero velvet tint for its strong pigmentation and blendability for the days I want a bolder lip look.ย For every day, easy-to-wear days, I love the color and tone of their juicy lasting tint and the dewy-ful water tint.ย Overall I think Romand really kills it when it comes to the lip tint department and would highly recommend you to check out their lip tints if you haven’t already.

Thanks so much for this! I actually have the Juicy lasting tints and you’ve got to try on the other shades like almond rose if you prefer a natural mauve color, or dark coconut if you’d like a melted brown sugar look on your lips. The other shades that I’ve tried were a bit neon-ish so that’s the two shades that I love using! Thanks so much, I’ll be trying the Zero Velvet tints now!
Ohhhh! I’m going to have to check out those shades too :O. Thank you for the recommendation~~ <3
