Hyaluronic acid is a well-known ingredient for its high hydration levels and is surprisingly quite affordable to buy in skincare.ย Now that I have the Isntree hyaluronic acid water essence in my possession (gifted by Credithink), I can easily verify that the hype for this product is justified.ย At first, I thought it was a simple essence, and that it is, but I slowly started to love it and rely on it in my everyday routine.ย Let’s get into the review!

I love that they are super transparent with their ingredient list and how each ingredient is ranked in the EWG safety ingredient scale!ย Good on you guys!
How to use:
After you have cleansed and toned your face, use this essence within the order of your serum, essence, and ampoule.ย I usually use the rule of lightest to thickest, so use this essence in whichever order you think works best.
IsNtree brand story:
Since I am kind of a brand story nerd, here is a little back story of the brand.
Before you roll your eyes and yet another natural-based skincare brand and wonder how natural are they really, they’re products kind of speak for themselves.ย Although this is the first product I’ve tried from the brand, I have seen many of my blogger friends love and share their love for the brand.ย I’ve been itching to try the rest of the hyaluronic acid line and their toner is another well-loved product as well.ย They also claim to be free from animal testing and have MFDS (Ministry of food and drug safety) certification
I’m not too sure when this brand emerged, but I feel like I have seen it way back in the late 2000’s if I’m not mistaken.ย I don’t feel like this brand was created just because of the whole green movement.ย This could be a load of bull but I will have to find out when they released their first product.

Product packaging:
Although the design is relatively plain, I kind of like it.ย I like the ombre blue packaging and it definitely stands out in my vanity when I am trying to shuffle through all my products.ย The bottle is glass, so you’ll have to be extra careful not to break it if you are traveling around with it.
And of course, the dropper inside is also glass!ย There is a stopper in it to clean up the edges before dispensing onto your skin.ย Remember kids, don’t let this dropper touch your hand when applying it on your face or squeezing it into the palms of your hand.ย Bacteria is a thing!!ย ย
Texture/ Finish:
The texture of this hyaluronic acid essence its in the middle of being watery but kind of thick.ย Once you massage it into your skin, it takes about a minute for it to absorb into your skin but does not leave any sticky feeling.ย Your skin instantly feels hydrated and almost plumped, which I am not surprised since it is hyaluronic acid.ย If you guys want a better understanding of what hyaluronic acid is, check out Paula’s Choice’s definition of hyaluronic acid. Essentially it is a component found in the skin’s tissue and has restorative abilities to boost the skin’s moisture content and prevent moisture loss.ย It is also capable of holding up to 1,000 times its own water weight, hence why it is such a popular ingredient to use in the skincare world.

It has a pH level of 5, which is slightly acidic but the perfect pH level for the human skin to prevent any skin irritations.

Overall thoughts:
This is definitely one of those understated products which you would easily pass by without giving it a thought.ย To be honest, if it wasn’t curated for me by David at Credithink (thanks David!!), I would have never even picked it out myself.ย It is gentle enough even for sensitive skin, fragrance-free, animal cruelty-free, absorbs easily into the skin and definitely a product that can be used with all skin types.ย It is hydrating enough without being heavy on the skin and an easy product to layer with.ย I have grown very attached to this product and it would definitely be a repurchase in the future.ย I would give it a 5 star holy grail status, but I need to see if I will truly miss it once I’m completely out to see if it really is worth the title.ย For now, I give it two thumbs up and a definite must-try product!
