J.one has been one of those indie brands that I haven’t seen many reviews on. ย I got my hands on this through Memebox* when they asked if there was anything that caught my interest on their website. ย Of course I had to request J.one products because, well there aren’t really any reviews on these products and the products itself sound very interesting. ย The first of the three reviews I’ll be posting, here is the review on J.one jelly pack. ย Let’s go~

How to use:
“After cleansing and toning at night, dispense an appropriate amount of the jelly pack and massage it all over the face and neck for 1 to 2 minutes. Wait until it gets fully absorbed by the skin then get your beauty sleep. Wash it off the next morning.”
Personally, I like to use this right before I do my base make up. ย I tried using it as a moisturizer and yes it does work, but because this is kind of an expensive product, I use this as a primer/moisturizer. ย It leaves my skin feeling very moisturized and protected. I personally don’t like to massage it in since the thick texture stretches my skin. ย What I do is I dot it all over my face, then pat it in.
Product packaging:
This product comes in a very slick, white plastic hourglass container with an airtight pump. ย The pump is easy to control but you do have to pump about 5-7 times to fully cover your whole face (or maybe it’s just my big forehead) since it doesn’t seem to dispense a large amount with one pump. ย One thing I do have to note, there isn’t any way you can see how much product is left inside the bottle which is slightly inconvenient. ย You can screw off the lid and shine a light in it, but this bottle has that type of dispenser without the straw and uses pressure to push out the product so you won’t be able to see the bottom of the bottle anyways so why bother.
Texture/ Finish:
I think the texture isย like durian, either you love it or you hate it. ย When I was reading what others thought about this product, some people absolutely loved it but some people hated it. ย Those that loved it said the jelly like texture did truly give the skin a tightening effect while hydrating. ย Others that didn’t like it complained that it didn’t absorb into their skin, leaving an unbearable sticky feeling on the skin that never seemed to absorb.
To the best of my ability, I will try to explain this very unique texture. ย Think jam + jelly that is slightly slick like lip gloss without the super sticky finish. ย When I first used it, it took about 10ย minutes to finally fully absorb. ย I used some on my neck but it wasn’t absorbing properly so it felt very uncomfortable. ย I had to take one for theย team and suck it up. ย After using it for a week straight, somehow it absorbed into my dry skin in no time. ย Guess my skin was so dry, it just drank it right up. ย Once absorbed, it leaves my skin feeling very hydrated andย non greasy finish but you do see there is a slight dewy barrier on the skin. ย I usually used this jelly pack along with the J.one cushion and it is the best combo ever. I won’t get too into the cushion in this review but used together, I’ve never seen my skin look so flawless. With the BB cushion on, it looks exactly like my bare skin! ย It’s crazy. ย I’m converted, this product is amazing.
When you spread out the jelly pack, it will look like this. ย You have to pat it inย

Overall thoughts:
This product does take some time to get used to due to the very unique texture that may not be loved by all. ย As for me, I love this product to death. ย I even brought it with me to Hong Kong because I trusted it so much. ย It works both as a moisturizer and a make up primer even though it isn’t marketed as a primer. ย I solely use this right before I do my base make up and find that it makes my base make up routine a lot more effortless. ย I can’t say much about the anti-aging function or the tightening part of it because I don’t have much to tighten at the moment. ย Overall I really do like this product and would repurchase it for sure when I run out. ย I don’t want to be without this product and I’d highly recommend you guys get a bottle for yourself. ย I won’t demo it in this post but I will show you the before and after when I review the J.one jelly cushion later on.
P.S. ย For those that have a Sephora* near you, I heard they started carrying this brand since Glow recipe (the company) partnered up with them to bring more K-beauty into the make up supermarket.
What do you guys think about this jelly pack? ย Have you tried anything like it yourself? ย Have you tried this product or anything from this brand? ย Let me know in the comments down below what you think!
