Missha glow ampoule pact review I FINALLY THE GLOW I WANT!

I was definitely walking on eggshells when I put this in my cart when I was shopping with my monthly Jolse credits (gifted credits).  I’ve tried quite a few balm type BB cushions but none of them ever had a decent formula. The oils and powder/ pigments always end up splitting super weird or it had zero coverage.  With my success with the majority of Missha’s glow line, I thought I’d finally give this a try and see how it performs.  What can go wrong at this point when my expectations are ground zero.

From the really bad translation, I’m not sure if this BB pact contains their best selling ampoule or not.  But from my experience with this BB pact and how hydrating it is, I honestly would not be surprised if there was their famous ampoule in it.Product packaging:
The compact with the gorgeous glitter finish and the holographic “glow” text is beautiful!!  This compact is the generic one with the same mirror on the inside.

The air puff is also the standard one but inside of the dark blue ones which were super common back in the day, it seems like these beige ones are the new standard?  These beige ones don’t seem to soak up as much product as the blue ones too!

I got mine in shade #23, which is the darkest shade they offer.  In the swatch pictures, all three shades look like an absolute ashy mess but I am happy to report, that is not the case in real life!

Texture/ Finish:
Shade #23 works perfectly with my yellow undertone skin type, around a Mac NC25 skin tone range.  It isn’t ashy/ grey at all to my surprise but to me, is a little too yellow in pictures.  With my whole face on though, it looks just fine so I’m quite satisfied with the results.  Finish wise, it is very hydrating and the formula does not split (thank goodness!).

It has decent medium coverage but I wouldn’t say it can go up to high coverage since it is on the hydrating side and won’t be able to give you that high coverage look.  But to be honest, most people looking for this BB pact won’t be the type that wants to wear high coverage anyway.  This is a gorgeous everyday BB pact that is not only quick to use, but highly moisturizing and effective.

Okay, less chit chat!  Let’s try this on already.

Here is my bare skin with a little bit of moisturizing primer (Blithe hydro priming cream + Blithe makeup prep essence), both of which I will be reviewing next so stay tuned!

To apply, simply take the air puff, dab it into the pact and pat away.  There is a bit of a cooling sensation with this BB pact!  It isn’t the same as a minty cooling effect but a subtle cooling effect.

You can easily tell which side is which.  Left side be before and right side is after.

Before (left) looking sad, dull and dry like how I normally am, and after (right) side, looking like the mid 2010’s when all the Korean actresses looked like they were sweating all day from their forehead to their chin.  I actually enjoy that dewiness and have been trying to look for a replacement for my beloved the Saem aqua glow BB cushion which has been discontinued I believe.

Close up, this formula is just perfect.  It glides right over my skin, does not accecuate my dry patches and gives me the most healthy, natural glow one can I ask for.  And no weird spilting of the formula whoo whoo!!

I can even just go out like this with just the BB pact, some tinted lip balm and curl my lashes as an everyday look.  Of course, I don’t wear make up these days with all the mask wearing, its just no point.

And BAM! TV magic haha.  Full face of make up.  By the way, I know you guys are going to ask what lip stick I’m wearing.  It is Yulip lipstick in Daring nude.  It is the perfect nude shade and is also vegan guys!!

Do I think the lavender and white pearlescent cream mixed in there help with my overall complexion?  Hmm, somewhat but I definitely don’t think it is all that noticeable.

Because the formula is so glowy and I truly started to look like  was sweating from every pore of my face, I was comfortable to use a light powder contour to somewhat set my base make up. I left the center of my face alone and within 3-4 hours, the moisture began to settle down but it was still looking very hydrated.  This BB pact will transfer if you don’t set it, so beware of your clothes and boyfriends haha.  For me and my dry skin, this had no problems staying on for a full day (10+ hours) of wear and I didn’t find myself reapplying.

Fragrance?:
There isn’t any scent that I can detect. There’s a very faint smell of a floral fragrance but it is not even detectable with me sticking my nose into it and sniffing it like a hound dog.

Overall thoughts:
Its been a while since I’ve given out my holy grail status stamp of approval.  I try so many products on a daily and it is fun and all, but continuous disappointment just breaks my heart and I get a little mad inside, wondering why companies can’t just put out really amazing products!  Missha has definitely done it again with their Missha glow ampoule pact and I was right!  Their glow line does not disappoint and I can’t wait to see them extend their line into more products muahahah.  It is time to look like the glowy goddesses that you are and get yourself this gorgeous BB pact.  Join me and my dew it forever cult!
