Inching closer to the big 3-0, I’ve definitely noticed my skin getting a little more wrinkles and the dark spots on the top of my cheeks have become more and more prominent. I’m still a little too scared to go back to trying to incorporate retinol into my routine after drying my skin barrier out for a month and a half.ย Vitamin C also hates my skin and loves to burn the heck out of it, so that really isn’t an option.ย With little to no hope, AXIS-Y offered their dark spot correcting glow serum along with all their other products to try.ย After reading the ingredients list, this product seemed too good to be true!ย With so many ingredients I already love built into one tube, what results did it give my skin?

AXIS-Y’s dark spot correcting glow serum comes in a tube but has a pump, a packaging I actually really like since you can really get every single bit of product!ย The pump is also super hygienic so I don’t have to wash a spatula hehe.
I am also happy to report that I haven’t lost the cap yet!
Texture/ Finish:
The texture is the best part of this product.ย Lightweight and absorbs into the skin effortlessly, this serum softens and makes my skin supple while leaving long-lasting hydration.ย It is also a great layering product alongside my moisturizers. There is Squalene and Oryza Sativa rice bran to thank for the softening and hydration, while papaya and sea buckthorn to thank for the gentle exfoliation action that contributes to a brighter complexion.ย Niacinamide is also another ingredient that does absolutely everything including minimizing redness, minimizing pore appearance, regulating oil, treating hyperpigmentation, and minimizing fine lines and wrinkles.ย This serum is not a fast-acting dark spot blaster, so yes… it will take time.ย Within the month I used it, I did see the dark spots on the tops of my cheeks start to fade.ย I also really enjoyed the hydration it gave me and it also didn’t irritate my skin in any way.ย The papaya and niacinamide working together as a gentle exfoliator really do the job well.
Fragrance?:
There is a light medicinal/ herby scent that kind of smells like Centella but I don’t think it is since it is not present in the ingredients list.ย It could be the rosemary leaf oil that I’m smelling and the scent does fade after application.ย Smell-o-scale: 4/10 in terms of how strong.

Overall thoughts:
I’m really impressed with this product and with all the well-thought-out ingredients and how gentle this serum is.ย It not only brightens the complexion but also gently exfoliates it and leaves my skin feeling so hydrated.ย This is a product you have to check out from the brand if you are trying to hit different concerns all in one product!
