B.liv Drench me cleanser review

B.liv drench me cleansing reviewCouple months ago, I was introduced to a completely new brand to me called b.liv. ย When they approached me, I checked out their website and mistaken thatย they were an American company but long and behold, they are a Singapore company that is sold all over Asia in Sasa or online here! ย I have heard little to nothing about this brand or their products so I decided to be your guy’s guinea pig (as always) and review these for you guys and broaden my product knowledge. ย There are many reviews coming your way about this brand. ย I thought maybe I should write the reviews all in one post but it would be the longest post ever and I like to get really detailed. ย Let’s go!b.liv skincare review

Who is B.liv?
“Made potent by beauty salon formulation, b.liv was developed with multiple functions and an affordable personal skincare regimen. ย Each b.liv product requires hassel-free application, is the simplest and risk-free skincare range which young professionals in a hurry can incorporate into their daily skincare routines.”

From my “research (aka. Googling)”, I b.liv is a brand that is targeted more towards teens and people in their 20’s. ย B.liv is under another brand called Cellnique which seems to be a more higher end line in terms of their price point which starts around $40 range for a cleanser and up to $65 for a moisturizer while B.liv price range is around $25 for a cleanser and $38 for a moisturizer.

B.liv shipping, return policy, free samples, rewards program:
For shoppers like me, I always have to look at if the shipping is worth me even browsing the site. ย From the looks of it, their shipping policy is pretty darn good!ย Free shipping WORLDWIDEย with any orders over $50 USD and delivers between 5 to 7 days. ย They do ship your parcels through DHL so make sure your countries customs is not a b*tch because Canada is!! ย ย Every timeย I get a parcel sent to me oversea with DHL, I get chargedย almost the same amount as what I bought the products for, so in the end it isn’t really worth it for me. ย I heard in some countries, DHL is actually cheaper for them. ย So just to put it out there so you won’t be surprised if you do order and get charged customs through your local government.

If you aren’t satisfied with your products, you can return them within 30 days with your original sales receipt/ invoice to get your money back. Return shipping is paid by the customers though. ย If you want to read more about their return policy, click here.

Also with every order you place, you get free samples!! ย Who doesn’t like free samples right! *happy dance~~*

They also offer a rewards program where $1 USD= 3 points, 200 points for writing a review and 300 points when you sign up for their newsletter. 1,000 points gives you $5 USD, and 5,000 points give you $25 USD. ย So pretty much every 1,00 points you earn, you get $5 back. ย Pretty good rewards program if you ask me! Click here to see more information on how you can redeem the points. Best part is that your points never expire!!ย B.liv drench me cleanser review

IMG_0844Product packaging:
When you first buy this product, it doesn’t come in any cardboard box but it is shrink wrapped which I like better since there is less waste and I don’t like to keep having to flatten boxes to put into myย recycling! The bottle itself comes in a very sturdy and well built plastic bottle and a pump that glides up and down with no problem. ย It is also easily controllableย and dispenses just the right amount of product. ย For me, I use one pump, lather it with my hands and then proceed to massaging my face.

IMG_0845In the back of the bottle there is the description of the product, ingredients list, how to use it and of course the usual information like where the product is manufactured and stuff like that.

Texture/ Finish:
Like the name suggests, this cleanser is in a gel formula that is quite thick actually! ย It isn’t a runny gel formula at all. ย It kind of reminds me of boogers to be graphic HAHA. ย I usually like cleansers that is either a cleansing milk or a creamy cleanser but I do like gels during the summer time since is isn’t too hydrating and I get slightly oiler during the Summer time.IMG_0997

IMG_1000It doesn’t create bubbles but it is more of a creamy lather on the skin.

IMG_1001Splash your face with some water and continue to massage your face. ย You can either do this with your hand or better yet, a facial brush or konjac sponge to get a deeper cleanse.

IMG_1003After you are done massaging, rinse off the soap. ย My skin does not feel tight at all and also doesn’t feel stripped.ย

IMG_1007Moisture level measurements:Screen Shot 2016-03-16 at 4.36.48 AMFrom the numbers off my device, you can see the slightest bit of moisture left on the skin but the moisture on my forehead went down a bit. ย I did feel it on my skin that it didn’t feel any more moisturized, but I think this cleanser would be great during the summer time or for those who are living in places that is super hot and humid.

pH Level:
This product has a pH level of 5-6 which means it is the closest to human’s natural skin pH level and also means that this will not irritate or strip away the natural oils and moisture of the skin since it is right on the neutral side of the pH scale.
Fragrance?:
I’ve been growing to love products with light to no fragrances and I’m happy to inform you that b.liv as a whole, has very light and fresh scented products. ย This cleanser in particular has a very fresh citrus scent that wakes me up in the morning. ย Smell-o-scale= 4/10.

Pro:
-does not strip skin’s natural moisture/good oils
-effective
-did not irritate my skin at all

Con:
-might not work for those who want slightly stronger cleanse; this one is definitely on the more gentle side

Repurchase?:
Possibly

Overall thoughts:
I think this cleanser is pretty good! ย Of course I’m always a skeptical one when it comes to trying out a new product, just like any of you guys would if you were standing at the store wondering which product you should spend your hard earned money on. ย B.liv being a completely new brand to me, has impressed me quite a bit actually. ย With their reasonable prices, gentle formulations and a good variety to choose from for every type of skin type you have, this brand would be one brand you might want to consider. ย They did send me pretty much their whole line of products that are suitable for my skin type and I do have my favourites and some products that I don’t think was effective enough for my liking. ย Overall this cleanser is a good one with it’s ability to not strip my skin, nor did it make my skin feel tight afterwards. ย This would be good for those who want a more gentle cleanse. ย For me, I think I will use this in the morning since I don’t want such a deep cleanse in the morning time. ย Either that or I will use it during the summer time when I want to keep some of that natural oils occurring on my face with the weather heating up during that time. ย And for the price point, it is a good and decently affordable choice for anyone out there looking for a good cleanser. ย Definitely recommend this one!

What are your guys’ favourite cleansers and what type of skin do you have? ย I’m always on the look out for a good cleanser since I don’t really have a favourite one at the moment. ย Share your knowledge and comment down below what you think! ย I’d love to hear and chit chat with you guys :).
