Cosrx one step moisture up pad Review + Demo

cosrx one step moisture up pad reviewCosrx has been super hyped on the internet and I think it is definitely hype that is justified.  I got to try three of their products when I was fresh into K-beauty and was lucky enough for them to send those products to me.  I think that was almost two years ago and since then, I’ve tried a handful of their skincare products and all of them I absolutely love.  So naturally whenever they come out with new skincare, I’m always counting the days to when it is released in Korea.  Lucky for me when I asked for more information on these since there wasn’t any in English, I snuck in the “hey this girl is super interested in reviewing these” and they definitely got the memo.  I’ll show you what I mean so click “read more” already!

So as I was saying, they got my hint hint nudge nudge… but a little too well haha.  I thought they would just send me one of the jar but they decided to spoil my ass and send me 10 of the moisture pads and 10 of the limited edition packaging for their overnight rice mask which I already love.  I think they had in mind that there is only 70 pads in each jar, so they wanted me to have 2.5 years worth of supply haha.  Very thankful 🙂 because I’m already almost done one jar haha.  As for the tubed rice mask, it is a limited edition thing and it does have 10 g more then usual (50 mL–> 60 mL) but they said if people like it more, they may consider changing up the packaging.

Cosrx one step moisture up pad

“A daily pad that contains hyaluronic acid to replenish moisture for all day hydration.  Regular use of the pads will smooth the skin’s texture, providing a perfect canvas for flawless make up.”

From what they are saying, this sounds absolutely amazing for my dry skin.  I have very dry and flakey skin so I need to exfoliate very regularly, like ever other day.  With these, it would be a one stop shop and a fast way to fix my skin before make up like what they said.

There honestly aren’t any sites at the moment that are carrying these other then  I think this is because they sold out without hours of their release last month in Korea so they didn’t have enough supply to sell outside of Korea at the moment.  Ironically they sent me 10 LOL.  Don’t stone me okay, I didn’t ask for 10 (very grateful though, don’t get me wrong).

Cosrx moisture up pad reviewProduct packaging:
So if you guys aren’t familiar with Cosrx, one of their most famous product is definitely their one step pimple pad which comes in the same jar but instead of it being blue, the pimple one is red.  As for the new moisture up pads, the jar is the same but it is blue.  On the box, Mr. Rx greats us all with his fabulousness.

Cosrx moisture up pad reviewI’m always glad that Cosrsx includes enough English for us to get by, including the ingredients list whoo whoo!

Cosrx moisture up pad reviewI’m also happy to see Mr. Rx not only on the box but also on the jar lid.

Cosrx one step moisture up pad review

Cosrx moisture up pad reviewScrewing off the lid reveals the pads themselves.  To my surprise even after a month, these don’t dry out at all.  They still retain the essence!  Wow!  If I was cheap, I’d actually cut these into two and get 140 uses since each of the are more then enough for your face and neck.

Texture/ Finish:
I actually was expecting the pad to feel kind of rough on the skin but it actually is very soft and doesn’t irritate my skin.  In the description, you are suppose to use the rough side first for mild exfoliating and then the flat side so the essence can soak into the skin.  I don’t use it in two steps since I don’t really find it actually exfoliates at all, maybe it is so mild that i don’t even see a difference.

Right when you massage the pad onto the skin, immediately you can see your skin looking a whole lot more glowy and your skin feels significantly more moisturized.

Shortly after when the essence has soaked into the skin, the skin doesn’t feel greasy at all.

Moisture level measurements:
Haha I’m not sure if my forehead was really that much more moisturized or if my device is broken (I don’t think so) but the jump is definitely ridiculously high.  Moisture up?  Yea, I think so haha.

pH level:
This product has a pH level of 5, meaning it is the closest pH level to human skin and most likely not going to irritate the skin.

Most of Cosrx’s products doesn’t really have a fragrance but this one has a slight citrus scent.  It’s super faint and barely there and definitely not something that would make your nose irritated.  Smell-o-scale: 1/10 for the strength of the scent.

-super hydrating
-very effective
-easy and convenient to use

Nothing really…

Most definitely!

Overall thoughts:
I f**king love this stuff, so much that I have to emphasize it with a swear word.  Seriously Cosrx can you come out with a bad skincare product to even out the playing field.  I was unsure if I would like this since the idea of wasting a pad a day didn’t really appeal to me but boy was I wrong.  Those of you out there that have dry skin, you know propolis is the stuff to use if you want to hydrate that dry skin of yours along with hyaluronic acid, it’s a killer combo.  I also noticed the pads themselves, the material of them retain the essence so well that when I was testing the pH level with my paper, I just tapped the pad and it soaked up my paper real quick.  There isn’t any essence swimming around at the bottom of the jar, it is all just being held well inside the jar and I’ve had this open for 3 weeks now.  Overall I absolutely love this product and i can see why they sent me 10 HAHA.  I’m going to need this in my life forever.  Get this product if you can get your hands on it, it’s definitely holy grail status for me.

What do you think about these pads?  Have you gotten your hands on them and what are your thoughts on either this moisture up version or the pimple pad version?  Let me know in the comments down below what you think!

I wish these made a big difference in exfoliation because that was the reason why I was looking into the pimple pads.. I have dry FLAKY skin, so I was hoping the moisture pad would exfoliate and moisturize well. I guess this means more research for me! Thank you!

These definitely aren’t for exfoliation but I do really love them for it’s super hydrating effect. I also have dry and flaky skin but after I used the wish formula bubble peeling pad, I kept the sponge to use with my cleanser. It has absolutely changed my life and never do I get flakey skin. I absolutely hated when there was dry skin on my nose and my complexion would always look so dull. Here’s some blog posts I want you to refer to :). Your dry skin will thank you~

Is this a toner or moisturizer?

    1. Christina

It is a essence soaked pad :). You use it before moisturizer.

Do you think that oily skin will love this?

    1. Christina

Hmm I’m not too sure since I know a couple people personally who have oily skin and doesn’t react well to honey propolis :S.

hi, im comtemplating between the one step pimple clear pad and one step moisture up pad. i have dry skin with oily tzone, more like combination type of skin. i rarely have pimples but more of blackheads. may i know which is more suitable for me ?

    1. Christina

I would definitely get the moisture up pads since you are combination skin. If you are looking to reduce blackheads, may I suggest BHA blackhead power cream :).
