How to use:
Product packaging:
Packaging for this BB cushion is simple but so cute!! ย The used one of the characters from the app as the cover, and the air puff also has a little face with teal accent for the band. ย The back of the compact as the usual information but all in English. ย There is also the manufacture stamp of when it is made and also when it will expire. ย The overall BB cushion compact is slimmer then the traditional since the cover has more of a rounded edge.
The inside also has a good sized mirror for you to see your whole face.
I think one of the most unique feature of this BB cushion is the air tight seal which I personally thing, all BB cushions should have. ย To open the lid, you have to twist the lid to the right and then you’ll be able to pop it open. ย The BB cushion itself isn’t like the regular BB cushions which usually just soaked BB cream in the sponge. ย This one is a “mochi” style, which means that there are two sponges and the product is sandwiched in the middle and will dispense when you press down on it.
Color/ Pigmentation:
Unfortunately, I think the shade selection is one of down side of this BB cushion. ย This BB cushion, like their BB cream, has only one shade. ย That is kind of ridiculous considering not all of us are the same shade. ย I personally am around a Mac NC25, yellow undertone, and am usually a shade #23 for Korean beauty products.
Also as I mentioned up above, this BB cushion doesn’t come with a refill. ย Luckily, you can buy the refill separately but unfortunately, I don’t see it on the site so it might be sold out.
In the refill kit, you get two packs of the BB cream, two air puffs and also two sponges for you to change out the old one in your compact.
They stated that this BB cushion is a “apricot-beige tone” and I do have to agree. ย It isn’t too pink, nor is it too yellow. ย It is right in the middle of that sweet spot. ย But for sure, if you are paler then me, this may not work since this is just the right shade for me.
Texture/ Finish:
With one layer, this BB cushion gives a satin finish to the skin. ย If you layer it some more, it start turning more matte finish, which worried me a bit since I know my skin and if you give it a couple of hours, it will start to accentuateย my dry skin which is a no no in my opinion. ย Luckily, this BB cushion pretty much stayed the same throughout the 8 hours I wore, but it was getting slightly dry for my opinion. ย So for a quick fix, I just took a facial mist and misted one time and I was good to go again.
Coverage:
One layer actually gave me a decent lightย coverage which also covered my redness. ย With two layers, the redness around my cheeks were almost gone except for the red spots but that is to be expected. ย I think this BB cushion is quite versatile in a sense that you can use one layer for a slightly more satin finish, 2-5 layers for either a medium to high coverage. ย You can also do what they suggest where you flip the sponge and stuff like that, but to be honest, I’m too lazy for that so no LOL.
Lasting power:
This BB cushion had no problems staying put for me, even without setting it with any powders. ย I had 6-8 hour wear and at the end of the day, it still looked like as if I freshly applied it. ย It did settle down a bit more but I didn’t look or feel like a dry mess which is nice. ย But please keep in mind, I live in a low humidity, cool climate area and I have dry skin which all comes into play when you are considering if this is the right product for you.
Fragrance?:
This BB cushion has a light floral soapy fragrance, native to most Korean cosmetics. ย The scent isn’t strong and it does fade after application. ย Smell-o-scale: 5/10 in terms of how strong the scent is.
Okay! ย Let’s give this a try now.
Here is my bare skin with nothing on it except for some lip balm. ย My usual skin concerns is the redness around my cheeks and chin, dry patches on my nose and cheek. ย I usually like a light to medium coverage with a dewy finish or even a satin finish if it is hydrating enough for my liking.
Here is the before (left side) and after (right side). ย As you can see, the redness on the right side has definitely lessened and the BB cushion doesn’t make my skin look too pale or too pink.
Closer look of the after. ย The redness is peaking out still ever so slightly. ย I personally am not a big fan of high coverage since it usually looks very heavy and non-skin like.
Same thing, before (left) and after (right). ย Do you guys see a difference?
And here is two layers. ย It definitely looks more flawless but it is starting to look slightly more matte which I personally am not a huge fan of.
Closer look at the side with two layers. ย The little red bumps around my cheeks is still peeking out but I was refraining from adding anymore layers since if I do, it will look cakey and dry.
Wah bam! ย TV magic at it’s finest haha. ย Or should I say it is blog magic. ย Here is my full face done. ย For the face, I used all cream products since I thought it would be a better choice if I didn’t want to dry my skin out. ย It looks pretty good actually!
During the time of the shoot, I had to extract a deep white head which I had to break the skin for. ย So the skin around the side of my nose was extra crusty and dry and the BB cushion didn’t really help in that aspect. ย I’d definitely recommend you guys to do a super hydrating mask or something the night before if you want to use this BB cushion. Or you can use a hydrating primer like the J.one jelly cushion, which is my fool proof hydrating primer.
Pro:
-versatile
-good coverage that is adjustable
-nice air tight compact seal
-works with all skin types
Con:
-only comes in one shade
-can look slightly drying for dry skin types
Repurchase?:
Maybe but most likely not since I a not a huge fan of satin/ matte finishes.

Overall thoughts:
I can definitely see why people in Asia like this cushion and how it was ranked number one on Glowpick (a Korean beauty app) for a while. ย Since it is more humid in Asia, the satin/ matte finish would work a lot better for people there. ย I really hope to see them come out with more shades since one shade for a BB cushion is definitely not enough. ย Overall I think this BB cushion is above average and I would have liked it a lot more if I liked satin or matte finishes, but unfortunately for me and my dry skin, it is a no go. ย I give this a two thumbs up for those who are considering to get it.

I’ve had my eye on this cushion for a while. Mainly, because it’s adorable. lol. Thanks for sharing your thoughts. I think this might work out for me since I’m oily and prefer a slightly higher level of coverage, too.
I hope it works out for you :D.
