Tints tints tints, something the eastern world is absolutely taken by.  First it was the liquid lip tints, then it was the peel off types.  Now?  Eye tints!  Now I have to admit, I was a little worried because, well I don’t want my eye lids stained.  Can you imagine, my lip stained red and then when I blink, I’d have green eye lids LOL.  What a disaster…  Other then Clio, Pony effect also products eye tints and I was lucky to have received them to test out and review for you guys so let’s get started whoo whoo!

How to use:
“Use the doe foot applicator to dab some shadow onto the back of your hand. Use your finger or a dense synthetic brush to apply the shadow onto eyelids and blend.”

I personally like to just dab it on my eyelids but you have to work fast because these do set really quickly.  I also use it with a synthetic blending brush which works fabulously as well. 

Product packaging:
Packaging is very sleek, along with the rest of the Pony effect collection which has that nice hint of rose gold.  The eye tint itself comes in a plastic, jumbo lip gloss looking tube with a rose gold twist off lid.

The most interesting part of this packaging is applicator itself.  It comes in this very unique doe foot applicator that is curved.  I personally wouldn’t use it on the concave side my eye shape isn’t that round for it to fit.  I do love the other side since I can use the tip if I want to do detail work or the belly for a quicker application.

Color/ Pigmentation:
The colours and pigmentations for these are absolutely amazing.  I’ve always said Korean eyeshadows are quite lacking in the pigmentation department but these prove it very very wrong.   These are just like liquid metals (except for “over you”) and are super pigmented with just one swipe.

No surprise: Cool tone cranberry purple shade with a dense purple and gold shimmers (metallic finish)

This shade is great to used as an eye contour or even all over the lid for a quick smokey eye.  I’ve have used it both ways and it looked great!  This is also a great colour for the fall time hehe.

Over you: Matte taupe mauve shade (matte finish)

Out of the five shade available, this is the only shade that does not contain any shimmers.  It is a creamy matte colour that dries down to a moisturizing matte, meaning it doesn’t dry my eye lids out, and I like just all over my lids.  It has this unique tone to it, kind of a purple rose that has dried out, turned into powder, rolled around in some soil and then got rained on and voila, this colour LOL.  What kind of shitty description did I give you HAHAHA, sorry XD.

Fix you:  Cool tone taupey bronze shade with fine bronze, gold, purple shimmers (metallic finish)

This is also another gorgeous shade which I personally like to use to highlight the center of the lid along with the tear duct.

Counting stars: Peach shade with chunkier gold, pink and sliver shimmers (shimmery finish)

This colour is one I’d love to use during the spring and summers since it is such a fresh shade and the shimmers would look absolutely gorgeous, not to mention it would be an easy and effortless wash of colour on the lids.

Lucky charm: Warm tone golden bronze shade with fine gold, bronze and a hint of pink shimmers (metallic finish)

Yet another shade I’d love to use during the summer time but this shade would be great for all year round.

Another thing I have to mention, these are also great to use as an eyeliner!  Too bad the darkest shade is only “no surprise” but yea, it works great as an eyeliner since they stay put and are smudge proof, budge proof as well.  

I used “over you” all over the lid, “counting stars” to highlight the dear duct although you can’t see it since it’s blurred out and “no surprise” as an eyeliner.

Texture/ Finish:
The texture of these are very creamy and blends easily but you do have to work really fast or like how they suggested for you guys to use it, dab it on the back of the hand and then dab on the eye lid.  Even using it with a synthetic blending brush, it works just fine and doesn’t take long to set so you don’t have to worry about it transferring around..  The finish depends on which shade you use but majority of them have a metallic finish that contain super fine shimmers.  The only matte shade is “over you” which I do wish they would have expanded with more matte shades then just the one.

These do remind me of Maybelline colour tattoo or even Mac paint pots but in a liquid form.  I do actually like these liquid eyeshadows from Pony effect better since they blend easier and application is definitely faster.

Lasting power:
These last forever on my dry skin type, non-oily lids even without a primer underneath.  Estimated about 8+ hours before it fades ever so slightly.

Fragrance?:
These do not have a fragrance that I can detect with my nose :P.

Pro:

-doesn’t transfer after it sets

-limited shades (we want more!)

Overall thoughts:
I frinkin’ love these babies!!  I’m really sad they don’t have any more shade at the moment but I do wish that they will expand in the near future.  I’m still waiting for them to come out with singles for their “brightening” powder from the contour palette.  COME ON PONY, MAKE IT HAPPEN GURL!  These shades are unique shades and I definitely am gravitating towards “over you” at the moment for a easy wash of colour over the lids.  I’d love to see more unique, colourful shades along with more matte shade as well.  I’d also love to see darker shades, maybe an army green/ olive shade, duo chrome shades with the metallic finishes, something along the lines of that.  Overall these are amazing and definitely worth a holy grail status.
