A moisturizer that comes in a paper bag?ย Sure I guess? LOL Who would have ever thought the future would have included (almost) fully paper packaged products?ย I mean I’m not mad about it.ย In fact, I’m very open to the idea, hence why were are here.ย Still going down the Toun28 rabbit hole, if you haven’t read my first review where I broke down Toun28 brand story, make sure to read this one first.

How to use:
Product packaging:
This has to be the most unique packaging ever!!ย The pouch is paper, so you do have to be a little bit more careful to not puncture it with your fingernails.ย No, the moisturizer won’t start to seep out as it is made of thick kraft paper.ย If you do want to travel with this moisturizer, they recommend you store it in a pouch to avoid other products from poking holes into it.ย I personally won’t be traveling with this moisturizer anyways, so that isn’t too big of an issue for me.
There is even a specific way you need to squeeze the pouch to avoid breaking it LOL.ย I honestly did not read these carefully before using it, but I haven’t had any issues with it, so we’re all good.
The lid is made of tin I believe, while the dispenser inside is made of plastic.ย When recycling it, make sure to separate all the pieces.ย That means you need to cut out the plastic dispenser and recycle the tin, paper, and plastic separately.
I find the packaging quite enjoyable actually.ย It is nice and slim and doesn’t take up much space in my vanity.ย I have quite a few bulky products that take up tons of space.ย This will make storing things easy for me.
Texture/ Finish:
Just like the name suggests, this is a very light and watery cream. To my surprise, this was a very hydrating moisturizer for my dry skin.ย I got this during the summertime and this was the only moisturizer I was using at the time.ย There are only 14 ingredients in this cream, however, the cocoa seed butter, glycerin, squalene, and ceramides really made this cream effective.
As you can see here, it is a thin and comfortable moisturizer that sinks into the skin effortlessly.
After it has been absorbed, it doesn’t leave a dewy finish on the skin but it does feel slightly tacky for 5 minutes or so.ย After that time period, my skin just feels hydrated, protected, and nourished.ย This is definitely a moisturizer all skin types can use.

Overall thoughts:
I know I only picked this moisturizer because it was the only Toun28 moisturizer option on Jolse, however, I did end up liking it!ย It won’t be thick and nourishing for me during the wintertime, but this is a solid basic moisturizer to use during the hotter months.ย I’m also surprised this is a fully vegan product alongside being cruelty-free.ย Overall I’m very pleased with this moisturizer and would give you the green light if you have been considering testing out Toun28 products!
